Here are pics using the extensions. Where I did this was not perfectly level.

Costco has the 5000 on sale here for $600. Had been in contact with QuickJack eons ago, but shipping made it impractical. Contacted them again asking Jacob Soriano for cost of shipping the extension and pads up here. Alas the 5000 will not work on the Touareg as it's too heavy (nor my skid steer...).

I offered to buy them yesterday if they could just hold them to Saturday as I can't get a truck and help with them, they said "sorry we don't do that". Incredible. Will go back Saturday, if they have them fine if not they don't. Alas Home Deport doesn't have them as I know they'd hold them a couple of days. And they wonder why Amazon is eating them alive...

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I am looking at the QuickJack. Is there any additional information on whether these are still a good option?

Should I get the 7000 instead of the 5000? I would definitely get the extensions as noted the standard is just a few inches too short for the Macan

I am also seeing there is a 5000EXT that offers 6 inches of additional length....would this be the best choice?

Oh to have a nice large roomy shop with a full size lift...Not! Next best choice for me has been the QuickJack BL-5000SLX that I bought to use with my previous car, an '09 Carrera. It worked great for that car, but I found the jack points on the Macan slightly out of range. QuickJack has added extensions so I got those and now all's well. Here's a few pictures of how Zelda got her skirt lifted today.

I have the same quickjacks but haven’t tried putting a macan up yet. So you need to buy something else to hit factory lift points?
Yes. Read opening post again. Max reach of the BL-5000SLX on the Macan lift points was just not enough for me. The QJ extensions give an additional 6” and are just right. I’m satisfied now getting underneath this beauty.

Is the Max 23” lift enough for PDK fluid change? Seems not high enough.

For those using the 5000 model - isnt that rated for only 5K pounds? I see that my 2015's GVWR is close to 5,700...wouldn't it be unsafe for the 5K model thats used in this thread?

GVWR is fully loaded weight - driver, full fuel and fluids, passengers + cargo (excludes trailer). The QuickJack BL-5000SLX has ample capacity for lifting a Macan for normal maintenance. Car weighs approx 4,000 pounds. Check specifications in Owner's Manual.

You want curb weight, not the gross weight value.

A 2015 Turbo's curb weight (including fluids, fuel, etc.) is 4244 lbs. (plus passengers). Figure 4400-4600+.

Finally got to use my BL-7000SLX set on my 17 Macan gts and my Wife’s 13 EOS. For the EOS fine. Had no issues jacking on the pinch weld with the included blocks. Had to basically split the Jack points on my gts but was good and sturdy once up. I’m a big guy and would’ve appreciated the extra inches from the extenders but really hate any extra crap in the garage. Anyway, I would highly recommend to anyone looking!

For those that saw my lift on the first page...now that I finally have a Macan myself (2021 GTS), I went to put it up and ran into the same length issue. I built my own extensions though (see below, before painting). When you question $200 for a couple chunks of metal for the quickjack, I spent around $250 CAD for the metal to build these ones myself, it's a bit more stout (two 2x2x0.188 square tubes welded together per side), but metal isn't cheap.

You want to look at the curb weight, Macan is around 4500 lbs, no sweat for the QJ BL5000. I have even used it with the extension on my Cayenne with 5100 lbs curb weight no problem. I was concerned that the BL5000 wasn't enough to handle the 5000+ lbs weight of the Cayenne so I called QJ on whether I should buy a new BL7000EXT with a 7000 lbs capacity and a 66" spread. They told me it's no problem for the BL5000 and I should just get the 66" extension to use with my BL5000 instead. So that's what I did. On the Cayenne, the 66" spread wasn't long enough so I use a 2x8 board to extend it 3 more inches on top of the 66" extension. It worked out great since I can still use the BL5000 for my shorter wheelbase 911.

Just some additional feedback on this after just changing my tires for the first time since buying my used 2017 GTS. I have the 7000SLX and thought the coverage without the extensions was more than adequate. I placed the rubber blocks perpendicular to the jacks and right at the ends. This had at least 90% of the blocks covering the jack points. I wouldn't hesitate to use these without extensions. And as far as I remember, the 5000SLX and 7000SLX are the same lengths.

Thanks for posting this. Any chance you could post close up pics of the jacking points? I am thinking of getting a quick jack and trying to figure out if I would need the extensions. One of of the earlier pics that shows the extensions makes them look kind of pointless - it looks like the jacking points are overlapping almost completely with the original platform. But more pics are always better!

If anyone looking to buy one, Costco online is selling the 7000 model with truck adapter kit for ~$1800. Thats a $650 savings
