Good Morning Everyone,

I am looking to buy a QuickJack for my Macan to make it easier to swap wheels, maintenance, etc..

Has anyone bought or used a QuickJack for their Macan yet? If so what model do you have/did you use? Any issues or complaints?

Thanks in advance!

I use it for the Macan and my Wife’s Audi SQ5. Not sure if it’s still available but Costco had the 5000 series available to buy at quite a savings.

Slx

Thank you! Did you get the SLX or EXT version?
It was the SLX and Costco still has it for $999.00. It’s over $1300.00 purchasing it from Quick Jack. Lift capacity is 5000 lbs which is plenty.

Great! One last question, do you use a special adapter for the jack point or just the standard block that comes with the QuickJack?
No on the Macan. The Audi lifts on pinch welds so I bought special blocks for that car. The pads that come with the unit from Costco will work on most vehicles I am aware of I just wanted to use the correct pad on the Audi.

I got to demo these last year at SEMA - they are very cool, very portable, seem very sturdy, seem to have a good locking mechanism and dont require compressed air - just the hydraulic motor supplied. Once the vehicle is lifted and locked into place, you can disconnect the lines and it is essentially like a traditional jack stand. They come with a set of small and large blocks. They sell an optional SUV adapter that will get you an additional 4" over the large blocks.

If I dont buy a portable mid rise lift, I will be getting one of these for the home garage.

I also have the 5000SLX from Costco. It works great. The Macan lift points are surprisingly pretty far apart, but within the limits of the quickjack frame.

The lift height makes changing oil a breeze, considering you have to remove the underpanel which goes all the way to the middle of the car almost.

I am going to get me a set. I can't wait to use them.

Picking a nit here but it's not really a "set". It's 1 unit consisting of motor/pump, hoses and (2) lifting units. Can get either a 120v or 12v (IIRC) unit. I have the 120v unit and have used it on my 997 but not yet lifted the Macan with it. I believe they have both attachments to extend the wheelbase length of the base unit and a longer/higher lift unit for trucks and larger SUV's.

Not a Macan...but here's my Lexus up on my lift. Same idea as the quickjack (scissor lift) but a mid-rise and flush mounted. Has been one of the greatest things I've installed in the garage for working on vehicles. If you're considering a quickjack (which I did as well), put some serious thought into going with a bigger lift. The extra height and convenience of this one was well worth it.

Do you really have to dig 2 holes in your garage to install it? A friend of mine has a big lift system in his garage taller than a person and I don’t remember any floor modification.

This lift is not as useful for working on vehicles such as the Macan with full belly covers that run the entire length of the vehicle. The lift is so wide I doubt you have access to remove the covers to do any work underneath.

I suspect that @SomeGuy did that excavation work in order to be able to leave the lifts in place, and have their tops flush with the rest of the garage floor, to save dragging or carrying them to some out-of-the-way place when not in use. Interesting idea, IMO.

That's a nice install. What is the brand name of the system?

Actually one big hole...and formed and re-poured concrete. Did the work myself, wasn't overly difficult, probably the worst part was the day jacking out the 6 inches of 4500psi concrete.

Would be interesting to see...although with the rubber blocks I can get 4-5 inches of clearance between the body and lift and I could grab another set of blocks to get that up to 6 inches. I'm happy to throw someone's Macan on the lift if they want to drop by :)

It's a Bendpak MDS-6KF, they have some newer versions with slightly different model numbers but same idea. If I had more ceiling height I was seriously considering the Rotary RLP77 which is a full rise and higher end unit than the Bendpak, but there was no point as I have less than a foot between the garage door and my vehicles at full rise.

Yup, exactly. The nice thing is they're 100% out of the way when not in use and I can still park two vehicles in the garage. I have some rubber mats I throw over to minimize water/dirt getting in the pits when not in use.
