Hi all,

I'm trying to enable Apple CarPlay on my 2018 Porsche Macan with PCM 4.1.
The firmware version is:

  • MHI2_US_POG11_P4151
  • MU1097

I already have the M.I.B. More-Incredible-Bash v3.6.0 tool and the corresponding .PATCH folder, but it only contains the .IFS firmware image — no activation scripts.

I’m specifically looking for the correct:

bash
CopyEdit
/patch/
├── activate_carplay.sh
├── mib2_tool.sh
├── metainfo2.txt
├── license.dat or .fsc
├── patchinfo.txt

If anyone has this bundle or can point me to where I can find it, I’d be incredibly grateful. Porsche wants $1,100 to enable it, so I’d love to make this work DIY. Thanks in advance!

Owner of a 2017 Macan S I have followed the instructions meticulously mutliple times using multiple different SD cards. When I plug the SD card into the slot nothing happens, (yes i have deleted the _ in front of the Swdlautorun.txt file), i have tried without it aswell to manually reboot the software and the SD1 (and all the other buttons) are grayed out still. Am I downloading or using the wrong software. Here are the websites of the files i've been using Releases · Mr-MIBonk/M.I.B._More-Incredible-Bash
MIB Solution :: Login. Any tips? Anybody else have this issue? I do have a K3300 for software version also

Just want to say thank you to everyone involved in making this happen. We just picked up a 2018 GTS and I added CarPlay lastnight using MIB. I did find that it was finicky on what cable would work for our iPhone 16 Pros. We had one Anker cable and one Amazon Basics cable that worked, but other random ones, and actual Apple cables with USB-C to USB-A adapters did not (due to the adapters I am sure). So if you did everything right through MIB but it is not working, definitely grab a few different cables and do trial and error.

I used a SanDisk Ultra Class 10 16GB. Ours was MIH2_US_POG11_P4151_MU1097.

Hi. I'm going to install carplay. In one video, it says that I need (can) to install (add to folder) ALL patches and the system will choose the right one? Or should I leave only the one that suits my car?
I have installed (car settings): MHI2_ER_POG11_P4150 1096.
I found file (folder) in patches folder with name: MHI2_ER_POG11_P4150_MU1096_PATCH

This is correct patch? I should leave only MHI2_ER_POG11_P4150_MU1096_PATCH folder or i can add to folder ALL patches and the system will choose the right one?

Hi I have a 2018 MTPP also with pcm 4 and I would like to add AA i have a pixel. What did you do? Thanx Laurence from Chester Springs Pa

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a 2017 Porsche Macan equipped with PCM 4.0. I used the MIB tool to patch the system and theoretically enable Apple CarPlay. The patch process seemed to complete successfully.
However, when I plug in my iPhone, nothing happens — no CarPlay interface appears. The phone does charge, but it shows slow charging. I’m not sure if this is a hardware limitation or something related to the patch.
Unfortunately, I never tested the USB port before applying the patch, so I can’t confirm whether it was functional before 😔.
Did you ever get this working?

Did your train say MU1097 on the unit or was it P4151 1097?
