Dark Blue Metallic?

I am ordering my Macan Friday 2/13/15. I am thinking about Dark Blue Metallic. (I have a grey 2004 Cayenne now, which I like). I can't really get an idea of how dark the blue is. I want midnight or really dark blue. I saw a Cayman in a parking lot that was really dark blue, and loved that color. If it isn't really dark, then I am thinking I will stick with grey... Has anyone seen (or have) the Macan in dark blue?

It is quite dark. It is still lit outside, but the sun has gone down. Looks black metallic. In bright sun, it looks Blue. Will try posting pictures.

Sorry for the flipped image. When I take square pictures, I hold my camera vertically.

Vons picture is in LA in full sun.

I've seen the blue, it's magical... very deep and almost flat in overcast light but when the sun shines it comes alive with little tiny flecks of red....... I just ordered for May delivery, a Dark Blue Macan Turbo with espresso interior .... it's my birthday present to me. I've earned it!

Here you go. Not mine; saw it when I visited the dealer recently. Pay close attention to the rear which is under direct sunlight (pic#2), that is the real tone.

This is purely my decision process so no trolling required, but I was desperate to have the dark blue, Sapphire wasn't availiable and a bit too bright, I actually preferred the Aqua blue on the 911. However, I ended up going for the Agate for one simple reason, in other than direct sunlight the dark blue seemed a bit flat and didn't really stand out at all. If I lived somewhere other than the grey and drab UK, I would have picked it like a shot. Black actually looks better than the blue when conditions are dull, but the Agate always looks quite classy although I prefered the Meteor Grey on my previous Cayenne...
So I guess I am saying that I think the colour choices are actually a bit disappointing, but I am glad I went with Agate, Dark Blue is known as Doom Blue in the trade, it is so dark, people just prefer black in the second hand market. I know no one elses preferences matter other than your own, but you did ask. It's a good job everything else is so awesome:).

I was wondering if my decision going with Metallic Blue exterior and interior as Black is a wise decision?
I don't like the beige interior for many reasons and it gets dirty very fast And I've put 18-way seats and I really want that option for that reason I can't go for two tone Color seats. I'm on a budget and don't want to spend $3,880 for leather interior which is the only way I can get Two Tone color and 18-way Seats.

Please advice.

I have dark blue and beige combo and currently at 9mnths and 8K miles.
I have not noticed and real dirt issues so far. The only issue is the reflection in the windscreen, but since I wear polarized sunglasses all the time it gets filtered out.

I would recommend one of the two-tone interior options ... either luxor beige/saddle brown or pebble / agate... both offer really nice contrast with dark blue metallic.

Hey @Aknish, I commented earlier that agate or pebble/agate were my personal favorites w/ dk blue metallic; however, black perforated seats look a little 'less black', if you follow me, because of the perforations. Incidentally, the perforations also mitigate the acres of beige you get in a solid beige interior, except for the dash, which is still my gripe w/ Porsche's beige interior treatment. I think the dk blue shows very well on the Macan (and Cayenne) by the way. Good luck.
