Hello,
I already read a lot of posts in the forum about CarPlay retrofit but did not find any comment about my problems.
I have a Macan S 2015 retrofitted with Joyeauto (well, a clone, anyway) since yesterday.
Well, I lost my center box usb power and both 12v plugs, I am not able to charge my iPhone through those...?
Also, when I am in Carplay mode, the parking sensors do not show on the screen, is it normal?
Thanks for any help...

saw you not about parking sensors. That is a software setting in the carplay unit. If you have a unichip whick is the better by far it is easy

Today I installed the Joyeauto Wireless CarPlay for my 2015 Macan Turbo PCM 3.1

Main Challenges were:
1. The joyeauto box has pins where the instructions tell you certain settings which are incorrect. All pins should be OFF but pin 8 ON. (box comes with this preset configured).
2. Jamming the cables into the center console to fit the PCM back in nicely.
3. Reinstalling the DVD flap cover below the PCM correctly. Its still not perfect, but thats probably because the harness connectors are large and difficult to tuck inside.
4. The audio was not working because I have the BOSE sound system with optical out. I needed to remove the optical from the original PCM harness connector and plug it into the joyeauto connector harness.
5. Finding a location for the joyeauto box. I ended up with the companies recommendation of under the glovebox area above the passenger foot area.

You can WhatsApp Joyeauto for troubleshooting issues which was very helpful towards the end of the installation.

Took about 5 hours to install and troubleshoot.

bought this tool off amazon for about 8 bucks.

( I used the existing factory center hole and drilled two holes on each side so that it can fit the cable through).

I used the driver side fuse area. The red wire is connected to the fuse that I added from the kit)

My recommendation is... don’t drill any holes. Not necessary. Just remove the Sirius XM terminal connector, pass-thru the cable, and reattach terminal without putting too much pressure (enough to hold everything in place). Add some protection for the cable in that area. See photo of my installation.

Plug and play is music to my ears! Just having venting we can direct towards our kid’s face makes it worth it. Think I’ll combine it with the Joyeauto retrofit and try to do it all in one go, I think I remember someone here saying that it would’ve been easier w/PCM removed...
Interested to know how you get on with joyauto box, I keep considering but I do listen to a lot of radio and have read you can't use the joyauto and dab at same time.

for those of you that have this installed ... has anyone experienced intermittent disconnect from wireless carplay? when i installed mine, i never hooked up the usb for hardwire option. i have only ever used the wireless connectivity but recently started experiencing dropped connections.

i would either have to reboot the Joyeauto unit or turn off wifi from my phone and turn it back on. nothing else has changed so im just wondering what could be causing it. was working great for months

Deactivate the PCM AUX Bluetooth. Following is a comment I made at other Carplay threads here and at other forums. The PCM AUX BT and the module Bluetooth are fighting for connection, and depending which one connect first will determine if you can successfully connect to the Carplay Module or have to reset the whole thing because is not connecting.

4. If you are using Wireless Carplay, deactivate the PCM AUX BT. This one took me weeks to figure out. Every time I would turn my car on, I intermittently had connections issues that would prevent Apple Carplay to activate or play any sound, and it would require me 4 to 5 minutes (sometimes unpairing and pairing the whole thing again) for it to work. I came to the realization that AUX BT and the Carplay module bluetooth were fighting for which could connect first. If the Carplay module connected first, no issues. If the PCM AUX BT connected first, it created a significant connection issue. Apparently the AUX BT and the AUX share the same channel, and you can use one or the other. To deactivate AUX BT in PCM 3.1 see,
. This video shows how to activate AUX BT, but you can follow steps to deactivate.

I hope this helps others with some additional information during installation.

Hi all,

My first post here. I'm about to put in an offer for a used 2015 Porsche Macan. I briefly had a 2014 model and loved it, but hated the PCM. I also found the satnav was useless for finding locations in London (where I live). I'm interested in adding the Joyeauto carplay but I have a few questions:

1. Is a map on google maps or Waze visible in the little screen by the dials like with the OEM map? It was the only good part about it.
2. Is it quicker/more responsive in carplay mode? I found the old PCM really slow.
3. Does Siri/voice commands work? If so how? Do you need to add a microphone?

Thanks very much all!
