I got AA installed by simaservis and it works fine wired, but I can't seem to make it work with MA1. I paired the phone with MA1 and the phone tells me that the AA connection has been made (and continue on the car's screen), but there is nothing on the car's PCM indicating that AA is working. The PCM shows that my phone is paired via BT with the car.

My AA worked for about 2 months and then it stopped pairing and just gave errors. I could never get it to work again even with all the reset tutorials out there.

That's when I realized that I prefer it wired anyways as my phone is charging. When using wireless it would put a pretty significant dent in the battery life.

First of all, I'm so sorry I know this is an old discussion but please let me know how you solve this problem. I would be very happy if you could let me know Frustrated with flaky wireless AA (Android Auto), I ditched it for wired. Does anyone else face similar pairing woes? My phone charges and lasts longer wired, but I miss some wireless convenience. Is the trade-off worth it, or have you found ways to tame the wireless beast?

When I try to connect, I get the messages shown in the photo but there is nothing popping up on PCM that will allow me to continue. Are there any CarPlay related menus on PCM that I can mess around with? What happens when you start the car and get those messages on your phone (assuming you also get those mesages)?

I had/have a similar situation with AA and my AAWireless adapter. It took a lot of experimentation, but the simplest solution is to reset the car unit (PCM?) to factory settings. What I have to AVOID at almost any cost is to connect the phone with a cable after I managed to set up the wireless connection. If I need to charge the phone, I use one of the "non-data" USB ports in the car.

It seems to be something associated with priorities assigned by the car unit. Too tech for me.

Basically, reset your PCM and the M1 dongle and also on your phone, forget any previous Bluetooth and wifi that connected to the M1 as well as the Porsche BT. Then connect a usb c to usb c cable to your phone and the USB port you want to use in your car. As soon as the android auto screen comes up, disconnect the cable from the console usb port and immediately plug in the M1 adapter. Then wait until you get various messages to setup the dongle and android auto .
Oh and it doesn't always work 100% of the time. So be prepared to reset the PCM and the dongle and do it again.

It is flaky to connect initially but once working it is great. Had so many issues the first few months, I had reset my PCM more than I want to admit. Finally it worked for about 2 months and stopped recently, I'm dreading the PCM reset and getting my settings just right again. I think another phone connected to my car and it stopped working. I am just using the cable now for AA. So be sure you don't let any iPhone connect to bluetooth and don't let any other phone connect to the console usb. I have kids or passengers use the rear seat usb plugs if they need charging.
