Over the years, I have found that by buying my tires through Tire Rack, I can get a 2yr road hazard plan for free. The first thing I do is to make an appointment at Porsche dealership for new tires to be mounted and balanced. And request a loaner. Based on when the appointment is, I order the tires 3 days in advance. I have them sent to said dealership attention to my SA to let him know they're inbound. One throat to choke; one number to call if there are ANY problems with balance, excessive road force or wheel damage.

Recently, I picked up a nail. I called Tire Rack. The woman sent me a link to an app. Filled it out. Told to order a new tire. Got it delivered to my dealership as usual. Took the flat off the Macan and got a ride there. Tire got mounted/balanced for $50 (usual price per tire). Took the receipt, a pic of the nail in the tire and mailed that in to Tire Rack.

Yesterday, got a check for the full price of a new rear 20" tire. Hope this helps someone else.

Interesting. The only time I had my Macan tires replaced, I happened to be chatting with my SA at the Porsche dealer (he told me my tires were bad) and I told him I would look at Costco and Tire Rack. He then said that once I had those quotes in hand I should call him and he would beat those quotes. I laughed. He told me he was serious. Sure enough, I shared the quotes from Costco and Tore Rack with him and he gave me a better offer to get the same tires from the dealer. I had them to mount and balance and was good to go. I never asked about road hazard plans but I will keep that in mind next time.

I will agree that dealerships will have some tires. I can’t speak as to whether a dealership offers a 2yr road hazard plan.

I just had Pilot Sport AS4 NEO tires put on at the dealer. Porsche dealer quoted me a price that was a couple hundred below tire rack prices. With with Alignment (that had a discount coupon applied), I was even. The dealer did a very good job. No damage to the rims etc. Also took care of a few warranty items (B pillar cracks etc). I had a loaner throughout and peace of mind. Tire rack is gr8 but I won't exclude the dealer particularly if you are planning to put n spec tires (I think dealers get discounts on those)

Note: The dealer has 2yr road hazard protection included in the tire price (same as tire rack). This is new for me too! I did not know that.

Any road hazard warranty for two years? My Michelin replacement tire for the rear was well over $400. Did they save you at least that much?

And yes. Dealerships do stock tires. But no warranty for nails in tires. It’s a judgment call. Kasher, on point, I always have the alignment checked after new tires installed.

I've only had great experience w Tire Rack. In fact, just ordered a set of winter Pirelli Scorpions in 21s for the GTS (not much options for that wheel/tire size, just those or Vredesteins). As usual, prompt shipment, great communication and customer service. Been buying from them for years now w consistently positive experience.

I replaced the tires on my wife's Macan recently. I purchased them through Tire Rack and had them installed at the America's Tire nearest me. I use that tire dealer all the time for my car hauler. They treat me very well and always move me to the head of the line when I come in. After purchasing the tires online I made the appointment for a couple days later since I would have time that day. Ironically enough the day before my appointment my wife picked up a large nail in the driver's side rear tire. I dismounted the tire and fixed the flat and decided to remove all of the previous wheel weights. I did that for all four wheels and cleaned all of the adhesive off and polished the barrels. I also left the center caps off of the rims The next day I pulled in to the AT store and the manager put three employees onto the Macan and I was out in forty-five minutes with four new tires mounted and balanced and black wheel weights to match the black rims. It was a seamless transaction and great experience.

I have used Tire Rack for decades for all my cars. I spend a lot of time looking at ratings, tire comparisons, and reading reviews from owners, but I also always call someone at Tire Rack to ask their opinion because the salesmen typically have experience driving lots of their tires on their test track. Maybe I'm a sucker, but I feel Tire Rack gives me a lot of support for my tire purchases and I have never been disappointed, so I always buy my tires from them rather than taking their tire recommendation and then shopping locally to save a few bucks. I only have 12K on the original tires for my '23 Macan S, so I haven't given it much thought yet as to where to have the Tire Rack tires installed on that car. Using my Porsche dealer sounds like a good suggestion, so I'll see how that works with my local dealer when the time comes.

I’ve always used tire rack as well. At the 30k service all 4 tires needed replaced. My SA gave me the quote and I mentioned I would check tire rack to order the tires there. He mentioned they also use tire rack and gave me an additional 10% off the tires replacement and the 30k service as well. The price for the 4 tires was the exactly the same as if I were to buy them from Tirerack myself. I never bothered to check Costco since the one near me is always packed and busy.

I had them shipped to a local installer from the list on their site, setup the appointment online, and everything went smooth—no surprises with mounting or balancing.
Did you have the alignment checked?
