in the standard interior selection, the seats are partially in leather except in the center where your back rests against the chair. It also includes as per the configurator:
Includes in Smooth-Finish Leather:

• Steering wheel rim
• Gear selector and boot

With the leather package, there is more leather, As per the configurator:
Includes in Smooth-Finish Leather:

• Upper dashboard
• Center console storage compartment lid
• Seat centers
• Inner seat bolsters
• Front side of seat headrests (front)
• Door panel armrests (front and rear)
• Door grab handles (front and rear)

However if you select the ventilated seat option, the seat centers will be in leather. This was not obvious in the configurator. I chose a standard interior for 22MY and as part of the Premium Plus package, got ventilated seats as well. When I took delivery of my car last week, the seats centers were in leather.

I have the leather pkg. ($1740 option). I do appreciate the extra leather that’s included. The upper dash looks so much better than the standard pkg. I don’t think you get this with the premium + pkg.

 

I have the Alcantera and is in great condition with 100k done, I have ordered the extended leather with the Alcantera ( Sportex) inserts again on my new one.

 

The Alcantara inserts pull the yoga pants off my wife’s butt every time she sits down.

Hi All - we are getting ready to place an order for Base Macan but have a question about the difference between the 2 options:

Standard Interior / Fabric Upholstery Seats (in Black) and
Leather Package. (in Black)

Appreciate any inputs/ feedback.

The fabric in the 22 car is not the same as in the past . It used to be alcantara which I happen to love (getting it in my 911) . Porsche started making their own version of alcantara and changed the name to "race tex " . Its actually even better . However it is NOT the "fabric" in the Macan . The fabric is called sport tex . I drove a car with it and found it quite hot on a hot and humid (Florida summer) day .
I have not seen it on a Macan yet as its new . Here is a close up on a 911.
