The clock probaly needs it own thread, but to comment. I had a clock before, so this was very simple to add. If you do not have a clock, you need to add an adaptor at quad. Not sure how that works if you have a Dual already installed. Best ask ACAR. I can control/select and navigate the clock faces from the Steering wheel.

Well, after installing the ACARDash free demo unit in @tallkyle Macan to make original dual screen video, I decided to get a dual screen unit for my Macan (note that I paid for this one…😅). I’ll be installing soon, and hopefully will be filming and releasing additional videos with reviews, setup instructions, etc… stay tuned!

I still can't change the boot logo so hopefully you cover that when you are setting yours up. Much appreciated.

I'm just waiting for joker button issues to be confirmed resolved. It's probably the biggest piece holding me back since I use that to change tracks today on the FYT unit. I'm assuming the FYT Extra Tool doesn't work? Despite the name I think it's just another java app so not sure if it's really chip dependent.

I’m gonna try it.. see if it works… otherwise we are gonna have to become Android hackers to start hacking into these units…😁…

But in all seriousness, we are asking ACArDash for a solution. Let’s see if they deliver. I think that steering wheel programming is a must these days.

Let me know what you find out!

I tried a workaround that works for me. Even if not perfect.
using the small wheel on the right is changing the track but also the information on the dash screen which was what bother me as I always want to see the same information.
with the diamond button, I configure to show the information expected on the dash screen which I use after changing a sound track.
Not the best solution but I can deal with it

eek that would bother me, unfortunately...since I use the right wheel to scroll through the trip settings and other setting and if that also changed tracks that would suck.

Installed the dual unit in my Macan this past weekend. Remember that ACAR sent me a demo unit for a video which @Teddis and I installed in @tallkyle Macan. Now, I decided to get one for me (I paid for this one…😊) and install it in mine. Some additional videos coming up, on reviews/comparison with other units I have installed, and setup/configuration.

Since this is Android you can use a bluetooth button like the Flic / JBL or generic steering wheel remotes to change tracks:

The flic is much smaller though and can be hidden out of sight (can program single click, double and hold). The other two (I have the cheaper Motorcycle one) attach to the steering wheel and have a few more functions but I find them to be a bit annoying when doing things like u-turns etc.

Funny, I got one of these yesterday to test and have it while we figure out the steering wheel control (diamond button). I don't know where I will install it yet, I don't like the idea of strapping it to steering wheel.

That confirm my understanding, the internal app SVM or something like that is not to change our Porsche steering wheel but an additional aftermarket device.
TBH having an additional device starts to be too much for me.
we have a Porsche so let’s try to minimize aftermarket device on it ;)
