DUAL SCREEN!! Installing an Android dual screen unit in a 2015 Macan

Fantastic! Like @Teddis says, little by little we are making this unit better. Working around bugs and issues that the vendor can’t or won’t fix.

I was on the fence to move to this unit from the 12.3” unit I had installed. So much so that ACAR sent the initial unit at no cost to me for the installation and review video and I decided not to install it in my Macan. But was convinced later on to go this route and I actually paid for the unit I have now but I don’t regret it. Like you, is making me like my 2015 Macan even more.

@Teddis and I had been working together on most of these improvements.

The Guy purchased a Macan Dual Screen on AliExpress but received no after-sales support. ACARDASH helped him with the service. Later, he bought ACARDASH Digital Saddle, and ACAR declared a lower value of only $80 to help him avoid high customs duties. Unexpectedly, the Digital Saddle arrived with some surface scratches, and we offered multiple solutions, including alibaba’s hassle-free return. Eventually, we arranged a courier to pick up the defective product and covered all shipping and documentation costs.

To our surprise, he manually altered the invoice amount. Now, we’re facing an issue where the customs duties and shipping costs exceed the product’s actual value. Despite repeatedly asking him to correct the amount, he has ignored us. He had already filed a dispute with PayPal earlier, and as experienced sellers know, if we don’t respond, the funds will automatically be refunded to him.

What’s truly shocking is that he’s now spreading false accusations! Santi RX has an excellent reputation in the Porsche community—he provides free installation videos and shares tested, reliable content. This guy, however, acts like a fool, refusing to use proper channels to address issues and instead slandering those who helped him. It’s truly unbelievable!

Working with Torsten (from XDA forum) we were able to modify the 2nd screen native app to accept any logo that we want, and get rid of the ugly "Turbo S" logo...

This is a great accomplishment, given the poor support we got to be able to modify this screen. I will also post the link to Torsten donation page. If you use this solution, I highly encourage that you donate to his development efforts...

It’s amazing how just reducing the size of the font made the interface go from cheesy to more OEM looking! Great work!

Instructions to change 2nd screen logo.

1. Copy the content of following folder into a FAT32 formatted USB drive (with no other content in the drive): MTK Dual - Second Screen Logo - Google Drive
2. Plug in the USB drive into the USB Data cable connected to your unit.
3. Go into units File Manager App and select the USB drive on the left of the screen.
4. You'll see the APK file "TsClock_1.0_src_mod.APK". Select and then install.
5. Also in the File Manager, you'll see a few folders titled "Macan S; Macan GTS; Macan Turbo; Porsche Logo". Open the one you want, and copy the "tsclock.png" file by pressing and holding. Select "Copy" in the pop up menu. Then go to the Root directory of the unit (leftmost menu, top) and open the "Pictures" folder by pressing. Then select "Paste" from pop-up menu. That will copy the tsclock.png file.
6. Turn ignition off for a few seconds. Turn ignition on and now your new logo should show.

Do this at your own risk (low risk).

The logos posted in these files are OEM.

You can create your own logo. Size must be 344 x 51 pts. It must be in PNG format with no background. The file name MUST be "tsclock.png"... note all lower case. And it must be copied to the unit's Pictures folder.

DONATIONS to TORSTEN please (he has been extremely helpful in allowing us to customize our unit, from this to also customizing joker button): https://ko-fi.com/appswitcher

Hello / Bonjour,

Excellent job and top instructions, respect !
I carefully followed instructions, unfortunately I am not viewing the file 'TsClock_1.0_src_mod.APK' on my USB key using the dual screen file manager, is it possible to get a link to download it independently of the directories containing the logos?
Thank you in advance.

PS: I am new to the forum, please be indulgent if by any chance I did not formulate my request in all the rules of the art 😎

Introducing ACARDASH Dual-Screen Android Integration for 2018-2024 Porsche Macan – Retain OEM PCM, Boost Smart Features!

Upgrade Your Macan’s Tech Without Losing OEM PCM – ACARDASH Dual-Screen Android System!

Hey Porsche Macan Owners!

Tired of choosing between your factory PCM and modern Android features like wireless CarPlay or streaming apps? The ACARDASH Dual-Screen System is here to revolutionize your 2018-2024 Macan’s infotainment—without removing or modifying the OEM PCM!

Why This Upgrade Stands Out:
Keep Your Original PCM – No loss of factory navigation, audio controls, or vehicle settings. Left screen stays 100% OEM.
Add Android Smart Features – Right screen delivers wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, Netflix, Spotify, and more.
Plug & Play in Half the Time – No fiber boxes or wiring cuts. Fits like factory with OEM protocols.
Porsche-Grade 3A Touchscreen – Anti-glare, anti-scratch, and anti-fingerprint for sunlight readability.
Ultra HD Dual Displays – Both screens at 1920x720 resolution (OEM clarity + Android smoothness).

Perfect for:

  • Drivers who want OEM reliability + Android flexibility.
  • Shops/e-commerce sellers needing simpler inventory (no PCM-specific SKUs!).
  • Anyone who hates messy aftermarket installations.

Hi,

Sorry for being son persistent but I some doubts and need some good advice.

1) In the first imagen below, the 3D model car on the screen does not appear with the doors open when its really open. I am missiing something or do I have to active something?
2 In the second imagen the reserve camara show the red line but seems its not calibrated. As you can see I put my bag as an example. The bag is just touching the car. The red line seems to be 1 meter away.Is this normal or is there a way to re congure?
3) I installed the porche boot logo from your images form this thread by Santirx but seems my screen never boots up showing the porsche logo. When I turn on my car it directly connects andoid auto straight away. is this normal or in yours every time you turn on the car the boot logo appears? Is there a way to boot the screens?

Many thanks gents.
