Ya, I tried that too. Puzzling because seems like I'm the only one with the issue. If that White cable is not the video button, then the only thing I can think of is that the video wires in the main harness provided to me from ACAR might have been wired for PCM3 instead of PCM4. Or maybe there is a loose pin. After work I'll take a look again. Man, I'm dying for this thing to work, it's pretty awesome!

Be sure to test before fitting in. Everything checks out pop her in, of course after placing wiring and boxes behind new ac vent. Hope you have someone helping. I put the stuff behind then put in the 4 screws holding the ac vent in.
antenna lead is a bit too long, I used wire clippers to trim a bit on plastic off the end, about 1/4 inch, then applied silicon grease on it to help it slip over the plastic for the vents!
Im going to PM you, I’m helping my wife hang an art showing and will have no wifi connection for a few hours. Call with questions, glad to help you.
I love my Dually!

Updated dual screen BOOT logo. Original 2nd screen logo was a tad higher and not well centered. New images are now well centered. And there are a few to select from. Currently using v6 with new emblem...

I was able to figure out how to disable the diamond button action in the dual screen unit. It comes with compromise though. You lose access to Radio app, Audio app, AV IN app and Video app. All these apps are useless anyway, except Radio if you use it. I'm still looking at potential workarounds for that, but for now, my workaround is radio streaming app like iHeart radio. I rather have the diamond button not changing source in the unit, hence I'm OK with this for now.

Instructions:

1. Select settings and select Car Infotainment.
2. Scroll down and select About Device
3. Select the Gear icon on the top right near first line that starts with HMI
4. Input code 8888 and hit OK
5. Click on Menu Icon
6. Click on Radio, and then click again to remove it. Note that Radio will delete from the block and appear on the left column. You can later revert this action (if you want to go back to normal) if you click on the block you want, and then select Radio.
7. Repeat same process with AV-IN, Audio and Video
8. Click Save on top right corner
9. System will Reboot

Once the system reboots it will disable the diamond button function in the dual screen unit when using CarPlay or Android Auto. Now you can use the diamond button to control functions in the car (like activating Sport or Sport+) without worrying about changing source in the unit.

Note that if you are not using CarPlay or Android Auto, using the diamond button will activate the Bluetooth Screen. This is because we can't deactivate that application, otherwise we will not be able to connect devices

When CarPlay or Android Auto is active, the Bluetooth app transfer all services to these apps hence the Bluetooth app can't be opened.

Hope this helps some of you. For now, I have not found a way to assign media functions to the diamond button, hence, we can't use it to skip track yet. However I'm still looking for a solution on this. But, deactivating the diamond button (even with these compromises) is a way forward.

I used macrodroid to try to start Radio Activity, which is inside the com.ts.MainUI package and it has the following package activity name: com.ts.main.radio.RadioActivity. This opens the radio but it can't be operated. It is just stuck with no information on that screen, which I'm sure is due to the fact that the app is deactivated.

More to come on this, but good progress in the past few days...

Let me know if you have any questions!

I found a solution for the joker button that deactivates its function in the dual screen unit, but preserves the Radio, Video, Audio and AV-IN apps. It is also possible that the joker button can be mapped to skip media for example, but this is still to be confirmed. More information on this soon.

Update: I was able to reconfigure the joker button to skip music now... and the good thing is that, unlike the solution I found for FYT, this solution do not make CarPlay blink.

For those of you like @djbooya, who was waiting for this solution, it is here now. I will make a video and release soon (hopefully tomorrow).

I found this option Diamond button for skipping track on pre 2022 Macan Dear Porsche Macan owners, pre-2022 models! We understand that there has been a persistent, pesky issue bothering you while enjoying your favorite music on the go. The infamous diamond button on the steering wheel, while programmable for skipping tracks, oddly only works for Bluetooth and radio station modes. However, when using CarPlay or Android Auto, this function goes off the radar. Frustrating, isn't it? You're cruising down the highway, your favorite playlist humming in the background, you're deeply immersed in the navigation map, and suddenly, a song you don't fancy comes up. To skip it, you'd have to switch from the map view to main menu and then switch to music view—a disruption you could do without. Indeed, Porsche addressed this bug in their 2022 and later models by adding an extra skip button on the steering wheel. But what about Macan owners with pre-2022 models? Well, we have some fantastic news for you! We're thrilled to introduce a simple and efficient solution to this perplexing problem. Soon, you will be able to activate your factory diamond button to change tracks in CarPlay and Android Auto modes, just as it was originally meant to be! Introducing our Plug-and-Play Retrofit Module, designed to bring your steering wheel's diamond button back to life. This small upgrade to your existing steering wheel will empower your diamond button to perform its rightful function - skipping tracks in CarPlay and Android Auto. Yes, you read that right! Macan owners with models from 2018 to 2021 can now have this installed to let the diamond button shine in all its glory. You might be concerned about assigning additional functions to the diamond button, like camera view, and worry that using it for the next track feature might interfere with these functions. Rest assured, this is not an issue, as we've included a quick activation trigger that allows the diamond button to alternate between your custom features and the skip track function. This means that there's no need for you to constantly switch between camera view and skip track - the system handles that seamlessly. | Innovative SoftDiamond button for skipping track on pre 2022 Macan

No need to spend money. The option I found is software and already working. Maybe we could thank the developer by supporting his development. I’ll post details later in a new video.

Yes, it seems that this new solution will provide ability to re-map any button on steering wheel to perform a specific function in the unit. But, every other button already perform what it supposed to in the unit.
