DUAL SCREEN!! Installing an Android dual screen unit in a 2015 Macan

Having seen this in person…….this one of those upgrades that is transformational. The car inside looks completely different. The leather, available in red and beige also is great quality and near perfect match.
The unit boots fast and is snappy. Swapping the screens around is a trip ! CarPlay auto connects every time, reliably. The audio is better now than stock Bose because of the EQ and ability to customize. I can’t find any faults, but OEM microphone integration would be terrific and this has been relayed to ACARDASH.
Buying Androids off of Ali is frought with challenges, return, refund and support, we have all been there !,

This does NOT exist here. You can buy with PayPal. The support for the device is proven, we used it….and continue too, even free towels, they care.
This dual screen from ACAR makes my 12.3 FYt look …...dated……oh well, time to upgrade.

This is a great example of teamwork, and thank you for spending the time to put this together. I would be anxious to have such a large and fragile package be shipped from China! It's interesting to see all of the aftermarket add ons available for this car, specifically from this company for the entire Porsche lineup.

I realize this is now a factory option on a few models, so I am curious now that you have used it, what is the benefit of having such a large screen that extends to the passenger side?

I get it in many other cars that have these, since a Lincoln, Genesis or other brands dont have much more to differentiate them than tech. but in a driver's car, I'm curious what the true benefit is? Other than to emulate what other brands are doing, to seem like they are staying "up to date" on the tech. I personaly would prefer the nicely appointed carbon fiber or other dash trim pieces since I don't initially see what funcitonal benefit that extra screen can add to the driving experience. Does the screen brightness or reflection interfere with day or night driving?

From the video, the gloss black surrounds and air vent dosen't seem to blend in that well to the nice Macan interior. I seems like something that will make the car unsellable to a next buyer but I suppose that this would be reversible before a sale.

I am intruigued by this digital clock which can add some functional benefit since the OE one is poorly backlit and this seems easily reversible, would be interesting to see a review on this one:

After having this unit installed(my car is in video), I am in love with my car again. I went on a work trip right after and just having the larger screen with car play was a game changer. My co worker was watching Netflix in the passenger seat while I was driving. lol.

It was such a solid weekend of fun doing this. Met some amazing humans and hope to continue inspire people to make updates to their cars.

I’ve always wanted to replace the 3.1 PCM in my 2015 Macan. I don’t like the extensive boot up and wait on the Bluetooth to connect to my phone, especially when I am running around doing errands.
And I want ACP and an equalizer.
The 12.3 Android looked good but I didn’t like that the trim was in piano black only, I know I can wrap it, but it would be extremely hard to match my burled walnut.
Then along came the dual head unit. I like the second screen, I plan to run the Torque App on one screen and Apple CarPlay on the other. When I want to check engine functions I’ll swipe the screen to change sides. The black plastic ends I plan to attempt to cover with OEM black leather.
I actually plan to keep my car forever. I would never put something cheap looking in her. It enhances and refreshes the interior.
I’d give the ACARDASH dual head 5 out of 5 stars!

Great review as always ! I hope the smalls issue like scroll wheel controlling two screens will be solved.

Also, as someone else mentioned being able to connect bluetooth headphones to the second screen would be a great touch. Not sure how Porsche handles that aspect on their OEM passenger screens.

Please let us know if you guys notice any bugs in the long run !
