These 2 metal pieces should be attached to the head unit with the 2 smaller screws. They self thread though the metal, plates. To keep from fouling the Phillips head, I started with a screwdriver then turned the screws with vice grips. The screwdriver on the bottom work best when attaching to the plastic ends

The larger screws are not needed.
Now it’s time to get your Macan ready. There’s all sorts of stuff out there about removing trim and radios.
Removing the clock assembly is something I’ve never done. Pop it up all around, there are clips in the front that will require depression like the tab in the long trim of the dash.

This is where you attach the 4G receiver on the side. Clean the area first with isopropyl alcohol

After that connect everything to the motherboard and plug the fuse into the trunk and make sure everything is working.
Run lines for 4 G and usb into the passenger footwell, attach the black leather trim pieces, and place the air vents in position-do not install screws. This is the vent adapter, not the actual external vent assemblies.
A second person is handy when you mount the head. Having the air vents loose aids in getting all the wires, CANbus box and MOST adapter in. When that’s done attach the 4 screws holding the air duct into place. Head is ready to go in!
Rest goes as Santirx has shown.

I really love it! I’ve waited for a CarPlay for over 5 years, this is perfect for me!
Great value for the money. Great customer support. Easy installation!

One issue I’m having that needs correction by ACAR, I have Sport mode on my Joker (diamond) button. I press it to go into Sport and the head unit goes into AV mode as well as activating Sport. I click again and Sport turns off but the head stays in AV mode.
Joker does not need to connect to the head unit.
I have contacted ACAR and they have sent my request to technical support. Hopefully they can correct this.

I can see this being annoying when driving with Carplay on, Waze running......activate a vehickle function (Sports mode, camera, etc) with Diamond button...and Loose the Waze/navigation screen, fumble around to get it back up, this would get tiring ;)

I’ve been using the dual screen for 2 weeks.
My chief complaints are Diamond (Joker) button, Sport mode is programmed but head goes to AV IN as well, a CANbus issue. Second is screen brightness at night for CarPlay, it really lights up the cabin, adjustments just don’t go low enough for me.
No issues with parking sensors. No overnight power drainage, even sitting for 3 days w/o starting. No issues with spotty 4G reception because that’s a function I’ll never use. I hate Sirius, I use Pandora. I use Waze for navigation.
It’s meeting my expectations for having CarPlay on one screen and Torque Pro on the other. 2 finger swipe brings Torque to left screen. Swipe back to right Android screen comes up and press the blue button you have CarPlay, most importantly CP stays on.
Pressing Sport button to activate and bright screen at night aren‘t dealbreakers, eventually Santirx or Teddis will find a work around, maybe ACAR can figure something out.
I’m really glad to be done with my 3.1

I’ve been able to decrease night brightness on CP, set appearance to automatic, color filters off, album art off.
As for the center vents restricting airflow, it is decreased, but turning the middle airflow button on in the climate control section improves airflow a bit

I had to remove the head to connect the antenna. I also trimmed the antenna lead down to make installation easier. I attached the MOST adapter and CANbus decoder to the back of the air vent.
Really enjoying my ACARDASH!
