IMHO life is short, I live in the moment, I’m not worried about resale value in the future ?

I just replaced my 2017 GTS with a $112k 2022 GTS !

Resale never crossed my mind, the options cost what they cost, the vehicle is stunning, amazing, in comparison to my 2017 it’s an impressively updated example of an already impressive SUV !

I realize $14k is a big difference if you simply look at the numbers, but the vehicle is quite a bit better than an “S” and we have always gotten a base or “S” for loaners while our vehicle is being serviced and they never impressed like the GTS did !

The GTS has the best overall package, if you add chrono and PTV and a few more goodies you have most of what you need.

I loaded mine up with expensive options, Burmester, GTS INTERIOR, carbon fiber, etc

Good Luck

omg, is this ever going to end? This is completely incorrect. A 22S is not the same as a 21GTS and a 22GTS is not the same as a 21Turbo. All the talk and press regarding the Turbo being dropped and the engine changes going from one model to the other has totally messed with peoples perception of what these trim levels actually are.
I think the comparison is the engine output

My 2022 GTS is 434 HP, I’m not sure what the 2018 Turbo made, IIRC it was a tad over 400 HP

Agreed. As I mentioned in one of my replies, it's my fault asking a subjective question where 14K could have vastly different meanings to people versus what you get in return. Sure, it's not that big of a difference compared to the overall cost of the car but would I be able to justify it if I won't be able to experience enough difference by not pushing the car to the threshold that makes GTS different from S? In any case, the wait list factor has become a decider so consider this question answered at least for me :)
The GTS package is unique, it comes with a great air suspension, is a performance oriented package, build an S MODEL with the same standard equipment as a GTS and see just what the apples to apples cost differential actually is.

Was thinking today about the 22GTS compression ratio of 10.5 and the 22S compression ratio of 11.2. There has to be physical modifications to the engine such as pistons or crankshaft, etc… to achieve the lower ratio. So they are different engines. I doubt they used a head gasket that would be a bit against German engineering but I could be wrong.
Turbocharged or supercharger engines run lower compression ratios than NA motors.

I know my surcharged corvettes run between 0-12 psi of boost, I’m not sure how much peak boost the GTS runs at WOT from the factory ?
