Hi everyone my name is Cal and I am new to the forum! I want to share my Canadian spec build. I am in-line with my budget but made some "choice changes" to achieve this. This is what I came up with and some key points.. oh, btw .. the build hasn't been finalized at all. early stages :):)

1. Wheels - I prefer the 21 " GT design wheels in Satin black, however, opting for the standard RS Spyder so that I can opt in the PTV plus. I am not really planning on tracking or anything like that but I supposing its "nice to have" and future re-sale value ?

2. I checked off the adaptive air suspension (PASM) at $0 - good or meh? I thought this was a given but why check box and at $0.

3. Steering wheel - I opted with the standard equipped steering wheel instead of the Heated Multi-Function GT sports wheel. I just found the GT wheel noticeably "small"... enough for me to note that and I was not overly keen on it but then again ok with it. I would love to hear feedback on those who have experience with the standard wheel and GT wheel.

4. Self-Steering park assist - at $440, I opted it in as its seems at a lower price point in the bigger picture. I don't see myself ever using this feature. I enjoy doing my own parking etc Thoughts?

5. Lane Keeping Assist - I opted this because we will be doing a lot of road trips in this vehicle, so highway/freeway driving. I am not totally familiar with this system but I am thinking it assists in keeping vehicle centred in lane? and is NOT self driving? I welcome clarity on this? Experience from using it by others.

6. The lower trim in satin black, blade in chalk, door handles black, side lower mirrors in black and roof rail. This set up I believe balances the black trim colours nicely.

Thanks everyone!

1) This is very important . On the USA configurator the wording is oddly different . Some accidentally.check the box but it RAISES the suspension making it more like the Macan S . On the Canadian build sheet that you have it states that it "omits the lowering " which means that it is raised .

Sport air suspension is standard. ticking that box places you at risk of getting a floaty suspension instead of the standard GTS suspension . Since the wording is different (I looked at both ) I would want to be 100 percent certain and if thats the case the box needs to be unticked .

2) Power steering plus sucks . I have had 6 of them . Take it off . Only 1 car had it because it was a dealership lot car .

3) Lane keep is very annoying . If you are the only person on the entire road you may not use the direction to change a lane . Why bother and that thing is going to activate ,

4) Just an opinion .. the red calipers look out of place with chalk . I myself ent with gloss black on my chalk car . Which brings me to the topic if chalk .. are you sure you love it ? I have grown to detest the color and regret it .

I have a chalk S and really like the look of the red calipers with glossy black turbo wheels.

Great points! 1. thanks for this - I will definitely unclick this and/or get it from the horses mouth at dealer. 2. power steering plus is standard (I believe) 3. True..very true.. I may axe this. 4. there is no option to change the red callipers. Did you love chalk and then grow to hate it? What happened do you think? I wish they offered Arctic Grey on Macan - I would seriously also consider that !.

The calipers can be changed in the "performance" section . It can be gloss black . BTW I wanted the Gt design wheels in platinum satin but they has a stop sale on them . Trade chalk was my effort to break out of my black, white , silver usual choice . Oddly enough when I sold my 992 I picked up a gentian base car as I figure out what 911 is next . I never thought I would like it so much .

Here is my car with gloss black calipers as well as my friend from this forum @RoggieRog who has the chalk with the black calipers and Gt design wheel . I like his more !!

I would never add an option for resale value, A macan does not hold it vale like a 911. A macan Is a depreciating anchor. My recommendation is spec how you want it for yourself and not somebody else, drive the piss out it and trade it in in 3.5 years so there is a little left on the warranty and buy another one.

Definitely untick that box, the lowered height is amazing. I wasn't aware when I ordered that the GTS comes standard with the interior trim in black brushed aluminum (exclusive to the GTS). I'd recommend you get that instead of carbon fiber, delete lane keep assist and self park, and use that money for the GT wheels. The RS I have are "fine", but the GT look so much better to me and I wish I had them.

Thanks for the feedback! I am still a little confused on the 10 mm lower and higher thing. If you get the 10 mm higher - could you not manually lower the vehicle using the PASM settings? i.e. I could set the "individual mode" to lowest height and then tweak some other options. ?

Perhaps this is something you really want/need/will use, but one thing I wish I did NOT have was the black roof rails. They oxidize something fierce and are a pain to try and keep looking "clean". If you have a rack and box to go up there for road trips, then I get it. I also think that overall, the vehicle looks meaner without them.

Interested point on the oxidation. When did this start happening for you? How many years in? Yes, will have skis and snowboards up there when winter rolls in lol. From what I understand, the rails must be from factory and can not be installed afterwards at dealer... which is so bizarre imo.

Hi guys. Getting closer to my 2025 build. It will be Python Green, Burmester, Thermally Insulated and Heated Windshield, fire extinguisher, luggage organizer, rear sun shades, Red Calipers, Ionizer (I have this in my home and the smell is wonderful), Carbon Steering Wheel surround, carbon shifter surround, and so on... Basically fully loaded.A few questions:

1. "Power steering plus sucks". On the GTS Package this is included. I'm not sure it can be removed. Can you please explain why it is so bad? Thank you.

2. I don't want anything that turns the steering wheel. Not lane keep assist nor self parking nonsense. Nothing that turns my steering wheel. I do like the notices of cars in blind spots while on the road. Which option is that.

3. I understand that air suspension is included in the GTS package and I can't select it on the configurator. I've confirmed it is included with my dealer.

4. Surround view is a must. I've heard the rear video was or is skewed. Has this been fixed?

5. Any comments on Burmester is appreciated. I've done as much research on this as I can and I'm still going with it. I listen to 70's, 80's, electronic, Rammstein, etc.,... I don't listen to music loud. I just want it quality and clearest it can be.

6. Summer tires option? Which is the Perelli P Zero? Standard with GTS Package?

7. Roof pano glass. Roof rails for a roof box is the plan. Any problems with this pano roof leaking?

8. Any more issues with engine bots sheering? I heard this was fixed in later models.

9. Buying now due to the probability of the left key being replaced with a button and replacement of the clamshell hood with the EV body (in my opinion like Porsche did with the Cayenne going with the EV style interior in the Cayanne Turbo GTS... I think they will do the same with the Macan but I don't want to chance missing the ICE Macan GTS and my allocation is almost here).

Any other recommendations (PPF ceramic coatings, etc.,...) are appreciated.
