I’m going to be picking up a 2021 Macan soon and I don’t think it comes with the 20k mile service. When I test drove the car it had like 14,650 miles on it. It was a loaner/demo. So it looks like as soon as I get it may be back in for service.

Since its CPO I was told I should only service it at the dealer by the sales associates, but I also have a few European shops near where I live too. I just don’t want to have issues if down the road I need a warranty repair.

Anyone in PA recommend which Porsche dealer you had the best experience at?

I’m buying the car from Porsche Delaware but since its about an hour away I don’t think I’ll go there for service.

Your Indy can do the normal work..... if you get into a warranty fix....back to the dealer(any dealer) for the free repair

I have heard that it's possible for the dealer to deny a warranty claim if your Porsche hasn't had its service done at the dealer.

I keep reading that for most people under a CPO warranty you should just take it to the dealer and then an indie once the warranty is out.

Fantastic indy in Broomall if you are so inclined. I used Conshohocken for the first four years but the service was only average. I've heard better things about Main Line.

I went once to the one on Main Line and spoke with the general manager there. I liked that dealership so I'll check with their service department on prices.

Did you feel they were reasonable? In a sense, higher than an indie yet still doable? Most of their used cars are priced higher than other dealers. I've also heard each dealership has different prices for the same maintenance work being done too.

Broomall is about 10 miles from me. I think you are referring to The Porsche Specialist. There is also Premier Eurocars in Devon, Pa which I intended on checking out too.

I'm just mainly concerned with doing my oil changes and 20k service etc, at these independent shops then having an issue when I go to the dealer in case I ever need warranty work done.

POTML is a great dealership and I've used them for warranty, inspections and tire replacement. Any Porsche dealer is going to be extremely expensive for time and materials work. And I might add I had warranty work performed at POTML which was substandard at best however when I contacted them they were very apologetic and resolved the issues. I have also used Mechanicsburg and they are very good. I would not recommend Warrington, sales was lukewarm and service was average. CPO does not lock you into the dealer service scheme. Just document any non-warranty work performed by yourself or an independent provider.

I cringe when I say this but I probably will take it to Pep boys for a state inspection. I was concerned when I owned my Mazda 6 and had to take it there for the same thing. I’ll be driving around with the temp tag for a while anyway until I get all my paperwork.

POTML will do the pick up and loaner too. I prefer the dealer or Porsche specialist for all work. No Jiffy Lube or other generic service providers.

Even if you did not purchase the car from them? I’ve been reading that some dealers do not give loaners if you purchased somewhere else. Which would be weird because service is where most dealers make money anyway. I may consider signing up for the PCA membership too so I can get the 10% off on service too.

I called Porsche conshohocken today and was pretty disappointed.

I was texting my sales advisor from Porsche Delaware about an air conditioner vent clip that is nowhere to be found on my driver side vent. He told me he spoke with the service advisor and said it should be covered under warranty, that the whole assembly would be replaced. All I would need to do is make an appointment at any dealership.

Which is why I called the dealership in Conshy as it's closest. They wouldn't give me an appointment and told me to go back to Delaware as that's not really covered under warranty and it's something the other dealer may have missed. I got the vibe of "oh you didn't buy the car from us tough luck".

I got an appointment from where I bought it but I'll have to take a day off work and drive an hour. Hopefully they will take care of it.
