Waiting at the edge of my seat for MY23 GTS

Hi everyone,

So I ordered a 2023 Macan GTS and expecting delivery soon. My SA is say approx. May 27th, The app shows May 15th arrives at dealer, but I am not even sure if the car has left the factory. Question is if there is no checkmark on the app does that mean milestone has not been met yet? In which case a May delivery is very unlikely. I am glad the car was built at least with no stop orders (GT wheels).

Sometimes I wish I didn't even have the tracking feature haha causes me to be more anxious than if I didn't have it.

No check mark means it hasn't happened yet. When I was tracking my cars the dates sometimes updated by a couple days for the remaining processes and sometimes did not even when the date passed and that stage wasn't complete. Overall, it's fairly accurate.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the car is sitting at the port in Emden....or hasn't even got on the train to Emden. Mine sat at the port for close to three months and that seems to be pretty average. I am not saying it will, but don't be surprised if your GTS doesn't even start sailing until late June. My fingers are crossed for you. Just to let you know, my car arrived in Emden on December 14th and I didn't get delivery until late March. I am in Seattle though, so the ship had to go through the Panama Canal, which added another 10 days. Good luck!

So I dropped my car off at Leipzig after ED on March 7th, then it got onto a ship at Emden on April 12th. Ship landed in Halifax on April 24th, then someone on this forum said theirs were on the same ship bound for edmonton on a train on the 26th. Mine is headed to Toronto but so far no word from SA yet. Train to Toronto from Halifax should take 5 to 10 days max.

That should give you an idea on what the shipping is like recently. your car is likely still at Leipzig and awaiting its train ride to Emden. no idea how long before it gets on a ship, but once its on it'll be 12 days to halifax and then trained across Canada.

Which city is your dealership in?
I am in Toronto as well. And yea that does help with timelines. If I knew it’s on a ship or at the port it would ease my mind a bit so I can monitor the ship.

Your SA should see which ship its on, or at least which day it has left Emden AFTER it has departed Emden. So until then, unfortunately all you can do is sit tight.

But aside from that, at least we're not seeing any delays on the Canadian side of things, so after it gets on a ship you're pretty much golden.

here's the forum for ships departing Emden.
hmmm, why is it that my build takes so long to complete compared to yours?

It’s like an entire month for me.

It is weird that why texts appeared on Porsche app is different to every one? I am using iPhone but mine shows "NOT SCHUEDULED" for the rest of delivery stages that mine has not reached yet. It doesn't give any estimated day at all while I see yours have some dates posted. Hmm....

Btw it seems like V280 to V290 taking longer than expected. Mine is on V300 right now, and finger crossed it will be on SIEM CONFUCIUS that arrives 5/7 at Emden.
If you log on to the website on your computer (not on your phone) the dates are in a range, rather than the single date that shows up on the app. The date on the app is the earlier of the date range you see on the computer (at least it was for me).

It'll take 2 days at most. Usually its only 1 day. No idea why its a month on this thing.

I have never had the range, it was always single date on either iPhone or PC.

Interesting! On my phone it shows the most aggressive date, and on the computer is shows a range. Single date when the date is passed, but never “Not Scheduled “. Maybe different countries show up differently (?).

Other delivery post from even ppl in US shows estimated date, not “Not scheduled” LOL. Maybe it happens after I updated Porsche app through app store LOL.

Mine took over a month as well then just sat there at the factory for weeks - finally went to the port 4/19 and isn’t slotted to leave until 5/12. Originally it had been estimated delivery would be 4/23. Yeah - that didn’t happen. We’ll see if it actually gets on a ship 5/12. Delivery estimate after 5 delays/changes to the timeline is 6/20. I’m in the Bay Area/San Francisco.

That’s… so strange. So manufacturing started and then it’s just chilling there on the assembly line? i feel like my GTS is gonna be the most lazy one out there.

I was pretty lucky - my build went right along schedule, other than sitting in Baltimore randomly for like an extra 10 days. Then when I thought it finally got on a truck, I got a text from my SA saying it was at the dealership - so a bit of a nice surprise a few days early!
Update : Mine arrived at the port today, San Martin is in the port right now, and Siem Confucius will be arriving to Emden on 5/7. Finger cross mine will be on either carrier.

So 2 weeks ish from Halifax

Give yourself another week and be surprised if it is early. The schedule from Halifax to the dealer and out is a bit slower than the schedule shows.
