After 16 days and 1200 break-in miles and I got to meet my dealership service advisor. This morning I noticed a darkish discoloration on our carport pavers as I pulled out. After coming home I took a look and saw whar appeared to be dripping oil.

I moved the car back and found an oily puddle. The substance was odorless.

I called my SA who spoke to the Service Manager and was told to come on down. The Service Manager got me in within an hour and a short while lane I was given a new Dolomite Base loaner. The service advisor said it looks like transmission oil is leaking from somewhere but they need to keep the car for further inspection.
Do I hold some kind of record on the need to have a fluid leak checked out? Any armchair diagnosis from you veterans?
On the positive side, I get to experience a Base without air suspension. I can now appreciate my S that much more.

PDK fluid, the PDK gear-oil, and the transfer case oils are light amber or light green, nothing in there is red.
Conventional automatic transmission fluid is red, but none of that is used in a Macan.

I’m serious. Did you taste it? Rub it between two fingers and whiff. If need be, taste a drop. You’ll know. Each fluid has a unique smell and taste. Tranny, brake, antifreeze, diff… All from under the front area. Best of luck.

Come on. This is ridiculous. I really hope I don't regret my decision to get into a Macan.
One post on an internet forum of a person having a leak doesn't constitute a widespread problem nor is it conclusive data that this car isn't reliable.

I'm not saying it's not those things either, just don't get worried based on a few posts.

Agreed, no reason to get worried based on a few posts. Having said that, my Macan is also in the shop, being the only new vehicle I've ever had an issue with.

I agree this would be very annoying. On the other hand, @yrralis1 has had 6 Macan's and I've had 4 with nary a leak between us. I think this is a very rare case. Hope it's easily fixed.

Sorry to hear about your issues, although doesnt sound/look like Tranny Fluid?
The Tranny on my old Macan S went belly up and had to be replaced around 35,000km.

On a side note, my friend picked up his 991.2 GT3 brand new from dealer after waiting a long, long time for it. He had orderd the 6 speed and he didnt even make it to the highway tafter he took delivery. He left the dealer after pulling the cover off the car & taking a few pictures, he went 5-6km (3-4miles) before blowing out his tranny! He called his SA literally 7 minutes after he left the dealer & told him he was on the side of the road and he could take the shifter and move it in a full circle around the shift area lol. They sent a flatbed for him & a few weeks later was in a GT3RS as he sold his regular GT3 back to the dealer. lol.

That was an even quicker honeymoon! I’m already thinking of selling this problem, er S, back to the dealer and getting that GTS Folks rave about. It’s not so much I expect that much more from a GTS as I could start the honeymoon over again with a new leak free ride.
It feels like I married a babe but found out during the honeymoon she needs Depends🙄

Not to worry. The dealership has to rectify the subject leak. Keep us posted and hopefully it is nothing major (couldn’t imagine so).

Maybe take this as the catalyst you need on pulling the trigger on the GTS purchase 👍

Oh boy really…. in the shop? Hopefully not a major issue with the brand new Macan.

Hopefully I'll have the same luck. I'm trading out of a 2020 Ford F-250 with the powerstroke diesel. That truck was known for either being completely solid or in the shop for a sensor or even transmission problems. Had 45k on mine when I traded it into Porsche and was as solid as it was the day I got it. Never had a single problem mechanically. So I'd like that energy to continue on into my Macan experience. I'm rather excited about it's eventual arrival end of April.

No, I didn’t think to taste it. I wouldn’t know how to differentiate the various flavors. I do remember the taste of gasoline from my youth when I syphoned it a couple times. That was enough to convince me auto fluids should Not be ingested or even absorbed through the skin. I thought the smell might be telling and was surprised there was no odor at all. Maybe I just didn’t get enough of the liquid close enough to my nose.

Maybe for a fluid leak . . . . head of our Cayman Club . . . about 10 years ago . . . did the European delivery and had a clutch failure 35km out of Stuttgart. They promptly got him a loaner, fixed it and never another problem. Stuff happens.

Did you taste it?
I got good at this while working as a mechanic on college . . . years ago. New stuff probably tastes different. :)

Absolutely . . . Let the dealer properly sort it. I'll bet it's a nothing-burger.
