Tracking the Delivery of your baby

If your car has to cross an ocean to get to you, I believe this is a way to track delivery (taken from the pieces I could put together). It should work for US and Canada. Not sure what the Australian lines are.

Once your spec is firm, your dealer should give you a car build schedule. Find the date of the German exit from their port, probably Emden. You probably want to get an updated schedule as the date gets closer. Schedules can change and what you have in January could be different in a couple of months.

Go here. On the right side select your trade route (e.g., USA).

For USA and, I think, Canada, select VW Logistics

A PDF schedule will come up. Ask your dealer for the boat name. Look at the schedule column for the date that boat leaves the dock. For example, today it looks like the Gracious Ace leaves Emden 1/30 and docks in Halifax Canada and then RI. US west coast cars might go to Houston.

Go here. While the ship is near land, you can track it. Not sure how to track it in the open ocean because it uses a different system. There are also apps for smart phones that can track it.

Once the ship is back near land, you can track it until it docks.

Once PDI is done, you can start looking at all the car haulers on the road near you and hope you car is on one of them :)

I hope this helps somebody interested in tracking delivery of their car (which is different from tracking their car ;).

You can also just google this and find lots of entries where people tracked their delivery.

edit: 21 Nov 2022. my.porsche.com might be able to allow some form of tracking

Can you upload the latest VW logistics schedule please. They don’t seem to update the website in a timely fashion any longer. Where did you manage to get the latest copy?
Here it isThey don’t seem like caring US customer, as I was only able to see old export schedule, so I emailed them LOL. I finally feel

New update: this morning Porsche said my car wouldn't be at the German port until 05/22 ... ten minutes ago, my schedule changed and not only has my Macan already been "born" ... it has already left for the German port. Hope I am one of the lucky ones that is able to board Siem Aristotle!

Where does it indicate left the port? Seems you are much earlier in the process from your screen shot.

A few of us have cars going out a week earlier. That will give you a good indication if yours will probably leave on time.

Mine changed to 6/22 from 5/22, I immediately spoke with SA today, he is pretty sure Sunshine ACE will be loading my GTS on today as the carrier arriving Emden today. His system still shows 6/16 as expected delivery date to dealership. I am so anxious right now LOL, can't accept the vehicle will be at the port for another month.
Same here - car reached Emden on 4/18, updated to 5/22 like everyone else and now updated to 6/22 departure for 7/31 arrival in Bay Area!!!!????
My GTS was completed on 4/27/2023 and was expected in early June. As of this morning, the website updated and my SA called to say that we have not pushed back to 7/10/2023. Seems like the logistic issues at the Emden port are continuing.

Seems we all had update on our TYD. Seriously can not see our cars will be stuck at Emden for another month. Check with your SA, because their system seems somehow show different than what we see. There is going to be at least 6 vehicle carriers from Emden to US East coast and gulf departing from today to mid June, there should be no way that ours won't be loaded at any of these ships.
Spoke with my sales advisor this morning. The Porsche Vehicle management system on his end also shows a push back into July. He claims logistics are all screwed up over there.

My SA just called me back. He states that unfortunately the tracker dates are correct. Car has indeed been delayed.

Thanks. Updates from the MyPorsche tracker app. Could very well be, or your specifications could just take longer, or the app is just lagging. when was your car due to be delivered to you?
GM at my dealership said it could be just a place holder, and there still a good chance the vehicle will be shipped before that schedule. Finger crossed but whatever happening in Emden port is so discouraging.

my SA stated it would be the end of June
looks like I am in the same boat as many of you here (pun intended). so I have been lurking on this forum since I placed the order in March for a MY23 S in papaya. my original delivery date was June 1 but the car has been sitting at Emden since May 12th with now a new scheduled date to leave port on June 16th heading to Davisville. Hopefully my car will catch a ride on the SFL Composer…

This will be my first Porsch and you may not know it, but lots of you helped with my built as I read your posts about different options and recommendations. Many belated thanks to you guys.
