Great resource . . . Interesting to see all the "Port" functions ranging from accessory installation to body shop work. I'll bet they have some great stories in that body shop. Are there any requirements to note on vehicle delivery if your car was backed into by a fork lift? I'm betting that is one of the best body shops in the USA\.

Yeah I was able to find similar sites for Jacksonville.... but the only stuff that comes up for Baltimore are all the same ship tracking sites that charge to track boats individually.

I had a 2017 Infinity JX30 which turned out to be a great car after I got past 3 issues the dealer blamed on the port. There was a piece of rubber trim that was flapping in the wind when I drove home and then I noticed an obvious paint drip on the car near. I was pissed off at the dealer and after looking into it they said something like "there was minor cosmetic damage" suffered at the port which they fixed and they weren't legally obligated to disclose that. I ended up getting I think $500 refunded back to me for that. Then I had a dead battery about a month after I got the car and they blamed that on the port as well because the batteries are disconnected during shipping and the port didn't tighten the screws on the battery when they reconnected it.

Porsche Lauzon in Laval Quebec
Do you know how long it took to get from Halifax to your dealer? Which day did your ship dock in Halifax?
Seems to me, it takes about 10-12 days to get from Halifax to Toronto by the looks of some other ppl, however this was Q2/Q3 last year, so maybe things are quicker now as C19/supply chain issues have cleared up for the mostpart... I think.

I’m guessing mine is one the Siem Confucius. Anyone else?
Just got word that ours is on the Siem Confucius. It left Emden on Saturday (3/18/2023), and at this very moment (3:18 pm EDT, 3/20/2023) it has just exited the English Channel, heading into open waters enroute to Halifax, NS. I don’t yet know where else it might be porting in North America, but it’s scheduled to dock in Jacksonville, FL on April 4, where our car will be offloaded. Projected arrival at the dealer (in Wilmington, NC) is April 13.

Mine was offloaded from the boat on 3/19 in Baltimore. TYD says it's not scheduled to leave Baltimore until 3/25.....

Not sure what I'm going to obsess over now lol. The boat was painfully slow but at least I could smash the F5 key throughout the day on the marine tracker to watch it go.

I know with my Spyder order (before TYD was available outside of Taycan orders) the boat arrived in Baltimore on July 2, 2021 (Friday before the 4th weekend). I expected that the holiday weekend would have the port closed, and wasn't expecting my car for another week+..... and I got a call on the morning of Monday the 5th, from my Chicago area dealer, "Your car is here."

So I don't think there's much rhyme or reason to timing.

Violet Ace got to port yesterday and FINALLY my Porsche app/website updated to say that it had reached the port of entry (after only updating that it had left Emden 10 days after it had done so).

Today I was surprised to find another update that it had got onto the train & is on its way to my dealer.
REALLY quick turnaround w/ less than 24 hours sitting in Halifax Autoport which is awesome. Halifax had 3 big car carriers arrive and Violet Ace was the first to unload, so that probably worked in my favor as well. Car should be in Toronto in the next 10 days.
Exciting times.

Dealer called to tell me they are showing that mine is "released for transport"... though TYD still says it's on step 9 "arrived at port". He thinks it'll be at the dealer on the 25th. Fingers crossed - though even that means "Monday" because I'm tied up all day on the 25th...
