**** that's brutal! My SA said it will onboard a ship on 17th March. Website says 14th March (which was the original schedule). I don't like how my Macan is sitting in some German port and catching breeze while I wait here impatiently.

I stand corrected, my Porsche app looks just like yours. The ship actually went through the English Channel like the satellite map shows, not around the UK like the app shows.
Ok cool. It seems like the satellite tracking is extending the ships trip with each day . I'm pretty sure that the TYD dates on my account are going to slip by a week+. I guess not as bad as some of the other guys here (ugh that sucks!). But this is a PITA when I'm trying to line up travel to get TO the dealer to pick it up! I'd rather NOT buy a flight last minute....

Take everything with a grain of salt. So the ship went more than half way in 9 days and it's going to take 13 days to finish the trip? I looked at a couple sites and the estimated arrival is all over the place:Ok cool. It seems like the satellite tracking is extending the ships trip with each day

Well winds and currents will impact it's ETA I'm sure.... especially given how slow it moves. If the dang boat is only moving at 6kts and it slows down to 5kts, that's a 13% reduction in it's forward speed. Also looks like the route is taking is kinda weird, it keeps heading south.... I wonder if it's trying to avoid weather or something.
That said, yeah, it'll get here eventually (well, knock on wood, given what happened two summers ago...) and there's nothing any of us can do to speed it up. Just feels like these last 2-3 weeks have taken longer than the last 4-5 months lol. I'm paying more attention to this car's tracking than I did my Spyder for some reason.

All 3 sites are now showing the ship is going 13kts now and MarineTraffic.com now has it coming in on the 11th.

For anyone that went straight from Emden to Halifax..... Can you let me know if your boat took the same route that mine (Violet Ace) is taking? Hes going south of the Azores (Red line) when I would figure he would take the more direct (orange line). Then again, im probably not taking into account for the curvature of the earth . Any help is appreciated. At this rate, hes going to be 1-2 days late to Halifax! He was supposed to arrive on the 18th, but it looks like a strange route for some reason.... Any thoughts/help/past experience is appreciated.

Dunno about you, but I was built on 16th Feb and have been waiting for a ship to arrive since then! Due on 16th March to head to Aus. That's a whole month since build complete sitting at the port doing sweet FA**** that's brutal! My SA said it will onboard a ship on 17th March. @Tony123 You should check w/ your SA to see if its acutally on the boat (and the name of the boat). My porsche website/app said im waiting at port since Feb 22nd (and it still says that now) BUT Im actually on the Violet Ace and am in the middle of the Atlantic right now. The porsche website/app is not always 'up to date'. Hopefully you find a surprise from your SA.
Interesting! Thanks for the tip. My SA has been pretty good and rings me every fortnight even just to say "no update sorry, still waiting". I like the proactive contact and I certainly feel like I've spent a lot of money hahahaha. Australia has been having a port quarantine hold up of up to 2 weeks recently to unload cars. Finding bugs or whatever on ships is wreaking havoc on shipping unfortunately and I imagine the boats have been taking longer to rotate and get back.
Knowing that Porsche use Hoegh to ship to Australia, I looked on their shipping schedule from Bremerhaven to Melbourne over the next month and the HOegh Oslo arrives in Bremerhaven on the 15th. There isn't another boat until APril and I'm just assuming this is me
Few more days and I'll know!

It almost seems like ships are trying to avoid the N. Atlantic or something. The boat mine is on also took a very strange route, they went WAY south, cut west, and are now heading due north to get to Davisville.

Was forecast to dock around midnight last night but it's still a few hundred miles out.
I booked my 1-way flight to Chicago for next Friday. So long as it arrives next week, or the week after, I'll be able to drive it home. If it doesn't look like it's going to make it within a few days of the 25th I'll just fly back home on Sunday and make another trip when it's ready.
