My car was in port for awhile , build end of November - shipped end of January ! I guess they’re waiting for more cars to be built so the ship is full .Just curious, how long do the cars usually stay in port before they get on a ship. My cars have been in port since 2/23 & 2/25.
Ouch! I hope I don't have to wait that long. The app is showing mid-March delivery and the dealer told me mid-end of March. My car was in port for awhile , build end of November - shipped end of January ! I guess they’re waiting for more cars to be built so the ship is full .
It’s usually about three weeks. They have a schedule with estimated delivery dates but they are approximations. You’re in a good place right now. I’ve done it twice this year. The first car was slightly delayed because the boat sank and they held other cars from being put on the next boat. The second car arrive the week early. Hang in there. I know this is the toughest part.Anyone else with a car that just arrived in San Diego on 2/28/2023? How long should it take to get up to Seattle? My dealer is telling me late March, but they are also managing expectations after the car was originally estimated for delivery in January or early February.
The car was ordered in October, so it has been a long wait! But I know others have been waiting longer.
Well if you look 2 posts above yours, I'm guessing my Porsches are on that ship too. Hopefully we have smooth sailing. Where are you located? I'm on Long Island.Looks like mine's on the boat per TYD. Have not confirmed with the dealer the boat name - but based on the dealer's schedule, and tracking of the possible VW boats - likely it's on the SIEM CICERO.
Anybody else also on the same boat?
It was waiting for mine to built in jan 2023 heheheMy car was in port for awhile , build end of November - shipped end of January ! I guess they’re waiting for more cars to be built so the ship is full .
My car is eventually headed to a dealer outside Chicago. Supposed to get off the boat in Baltimore and put on a truck. Same route my Spyder took.Well if you look 2 posts above yours, I'm guessing my Porsches are on that ship too. Hopefully we have smooth sailing. Where are you located? I'm on Long Island.
Our Macan left Emden on February 3rd, will arrive at Benecia Port (San Fran) tomorrow 3/3. Its on the Glovis Century. The manufacturing and delivery process is super fast right now! My Macan order, which locked on 31st Jan, was set to deliver by April 21st. Currently it has already finished production and reached the German port awaiting shipping. The estimated delivery moved up to April 9th!
I thought the shipping itself is faster than a whole month, so that's where I would see better ETAs. Also does anybody have past experience as to how long does it take to ship from Germany to West Coast, specifically SF/Bay Area?
Oh so it does take a whole month to ship to SFOur Macan left Emden on February 3rd, will arrive at Benecia Port (San Fran) tomorrow 3/3. Its on the Glovis Century.
Yikes, hopefully I don't see the same fate! 😅So the process is really fast.. car built 16 jan.. moved to port 18th jan.. left port 24th jan.. reached halifax .. 5 feb.. from reached montreal 17 feb.. loads of storms.. reached ottawa 24th feb.. again 2 storms.. delivery march 9
LOL, mine has been in port awaiting shipping since Feb 22. Now, I dont know if the updates are delayed & havent been updated yet or if it truly is still waiting in fkn port since Feb 22. Ive emailed my SA today & asked for a screenshot from his end which should provide better clarity on this. I should have by end of day today.Okay now my Macan shows it will get on a ship 2 weeks later although it's sitting at the German port since yday :\
Siem Ciero is scheduled to arrive in Davisville, Rhode Island on 3/13. It seems to be following the same track as what is on my app. No idea where it is heading afterwards, but unless it's going to unload, leave, and arrive in Baltimore the same day I think your car is on a different ship.Ok who here is on a boat that, according to TYD, is scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on 3/13? What boat is it?
The last time I connected with my dealer, their system hadn't updated yet and didn't have the boat name. Now I know mine is on a boat, but my dealer guy is on vacation (and this isn't important enough for me to annoy anybody else....). I made an assumption, based on schedules, that I was on the SIEM CICERO. But the TYD tracking of the boat has it on a VERY different path across the water than what actual satellite tracking of the SIEM CICERO is.
So unless the TYD's boat tracking is just some kind of silly pre-programmed estimate, I'm thinking I'm probably NOT on that boat... and now I'm wondering what boat it could be on.
Ok so you're on the SIEM CICERO and your tracking on TYD does NOT look like this? The VW ship schedule I have shows the boat going to Davisville first (like you said) and then Baltimore 3 days later.Siem Ciero is scheduled to arrive in Davisville, Rhode Island on 3/13.
