I noticed this plastic gadget hanging down from the front suspension on the left side of the car. I also have a "top piece" that was part of its retaining mechanism and a rubber gadget that might be. The top section of this wraps around a steel tube.

Is it an air scoop? Is it a guard?

I think it is an air ‘scoop’ to help direct air to the brakes for cooling. Noticed it on mine when I was swapping out wheels this weekend. Yet another interesting tweak compared to our old sq5.

Thanks. I'll have to re-fit it myself but it's good to know that its absence won't do any major damage in the short term.

part number 95B 615 447A if that tells us anything.

Thanks H-T, at $5.77 it must be a record for cheapest Porsche part.

I was unaware of that parts resource too, so it's book-marked now for future reference

Thanks, mine won't snap anymore. A small part has come adrift. Fixable though.

Porsche has put some impressive work into providing good airflow to the brakes in various ways.
