So I stopped by the shop to check on some powdercoating projects. My friends there we’re excited to show me a new color they’ve been working on. It’s pretty darn close to OEM satin platinum, probably a touch brighter.

Basically, it’s platinum with a “Frozen Matte” clear coat. Absolutely stunning in person. What’s interesting is that the Frozen Matte clear can be applied to nearly any color finish.

I’m VERY tempted to redo one of my 21” Sport Classic sets in this color. I also had the thought of trying a set of 20” Spyders.

Wonder how the color would look on Spyders. Thoughts?

Then here is a set of actual Satin Platinum SCs (in terrible, dark lighting)

Seems that it was a color choice for wheels on the 911... Looks pretty sweet in my opinion. Sadly, I just cant get them to have the polished lip.
