I have had the car for 2 weeks and on a couple of occasions the PCM screen does not come on when the car is started. I can turn it off and on a couple of times and it has come back on so far. Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks!

Mine never comes on until I turn it on. I assume that's by design. It always comes on when I turn it on, though.

Yes, I've had the car since launch. This issue has happened to me twice since then.

Unbelievable...

I've had this happen with my 997 turbo (not with the Macan yet) . Usually it occurs in a city region with a lot of electronic interference. Parked in a garage for example surrounded by surveilance cameras or alarms can throw off the PCM temporarily .
I have seen this happen once. Nothing different on startup, the display just didn't fire up. Intuitively I pressed and held the power knob for several seconds and it came on. Not sure if this action imitates a hard reset, but it seemed work fine afterward.

My PCM has crashed and rebooted itself about 3 times in 4 weeks
Was driving last week listening to music downloaded into the 'Jukebox' when all of a sudden, the whole display system just 'rebooted' itself (as if I had turned the ignition off and restarted the engine). Doesn't seem to have caused any problems and hasn't happened since, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
My Cayenne did this a couple of times, no long last affect kept an eye on it but didn't occur often enough for me to head back to the dealer.
Happened to me once in my Macan, haven't seen it again. Not concerned at this point.
Thanks forge197 and slw23.
Glad to know I'm not alone. (i.e. misery loves company - heh heh)

Perhaps it is a 'rite of passage' for us cool owners... :^ )

I had the same problem with the jukebox reboot on several occasions. I took it to the dealer for service and they did a PCM software update which completely fixed the problem so I'm sure that you can do the same.
Happened to me for the first time last night. Playing the jukebox and PCM just rebooted. I'll mention this to the dealer when I bring it in for the incontinent rear washer nozzle once Porsche comes up with a fix for it.
I have a 2015 Macan Turbo and had this problem initially when I took delivery at the end of July, with two or three reboots a day. At the time I was copying a lot (20 or so CDs) of MP3s from USB to the Jukebox. I booked it in at the dealership, but the problem did not manifest in the three days before they could process the car. In their analysis they said everything was up to date when and they nothing (except delete everything on the Jukebox and erase my POIs). They asked me to try to create a repro. For about a week afterwards I did not have any reboots. Now, three weeks later, I am getting them regularly, about three or four times a day. Whenever it happens when I am playing music from the Jukebox or USB, and frequently using route guidance, or have the music display or route guidance in the console and map on the dash. Often it will reboot, come up playing music at the point it was playing when I last switched off the car, I'll change the music back to where it was immediately before the reboot, it will play for five or so minutes, and then reboot again. It will do this three or four times before settling down. 'Settling down' make be misleading, though, as typically my trip would end I'd park.

I am quite unhappy that I need to both pay for the car and troubleshoot the problem. I would be happy with only one of those tasks.

Is anyone else still having this issue? If you had this issue, and you found a reliable way of reproducing it in a short time, could you share this?

This has happened in the last 3 cars I have had. I can only assume they must be running some version of Micrsoft Windows, but supressing the BSOD... Ha ha...
Just got my Macan two weeks ago as well, and in the midst of my love affair with the car, my PCM display blacked out on me. Am going to try holding down the power button to see if that does the trick. I hope this won't be a recurring problem.
It has happened twice in the last two days. When you turn the car on the PCM screen is completely blank and does not show anything. The radio starts normally but no image at all. I have to turn the car off and turn it back on to get the PCM screen to work. Is this any sort of "Poltergeist" happening to the system? I could take the car to the dealer but as always it will be almost impossible to replicate the issue while I am there showing to the service manager. :(

I had the same thing happen and it has not happened again. Not sure what it was and dealer did not know about it either.
I haven't had that happen, but occasionally my PCM only seems to partially boot. When this happens the Navi/Map doesn't load and my phone doesn't sync, but the rest of the system works fine. A quick reboot (turning the car off and then on again) doesn't help it usually needs a few hours of sitting to fix itself. I dropped my Macan at the dealer last night for its 10k service and asked them to check it out. It happens fairly infrequently and I'll be surprised if it does it for the shop, but I will report back if they figure it out.
