The 2014 Porsche Macan is a new small SUV that will fit in under the popular Cayenne, and this newest batch of spy photos reveals some of the interior tech and styling.

Sharing a platform with the Audi Q5, the Macan is noticeably lower, as well as shorter than the Cayenne. Shown with almost no camo, the headlights appear a little more rounded off, while the tail end of the car also has a more rounded shape than the larger, more stern looking Cayenne.

A couple of interior shots show off a touch-screen infotainment system and some curvy dashboard styling that looks newly designed, and not straight out of the Cayenne.

Engine wise, the Macan may utilize the setup from the Audi Q5 Hybrid, running with a VW-sourced 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine being mated to a 44 hp electric motor. A non-hybrid 4-cylinder is also rumored, and either way it seems very likely that the Macan will be the first Porsche since 1995 to sport fewer than six-cylinders. Mimicking the Cayenne Turbo, the Macan will also likely get a performance version, using a 3.0-liter V6 engine with twin turbochargers making around 370 hp and around 400 lb-ft of torque.
