As Macan Inches towards production I thought it would be a good idea to gather all Macan related specs in one place. Whether they are rumors or confirmed from Porsche this is the place to lay down whatever dirt you have on the Macan. The Macan will debut at the 2013 LA International Autoshow.
Powertrain
Engine options are unconfirmed but are expected to include:
A 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder with 237 bhp and 258 lb-ft of torque
A 3.0-liter TFSI V6 with 288 bhp and 295 lb-ft of torque
A twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 345 bhp
A 2.0-liter TDI four-cylinder with 187 bhp and 258 lb-ft of torque
A 3.0-liter TDI V6 with 261 bhp and 369 lb-ft of torque
Exterior and Interior
It’s clear the Porsche Macan is related to the Cayenne and Panamera. The tall, button-ladden centre stack is typical of modern Porsches, though a rumored storage cubby below the touchscreen is new, so there's that.
The Porsche will be similarly sized to Audis Q5, slightly lower, shorter, and wider. The noticeable difference is the Macan's wider nineteen- and twenty-inch wheels (staggered i might add) which give the Macan a more athletic looking stance. Expect curb weight to be in the Tiguan/Q5 range between 4,500-5,000 lbs, Macan should tip the lighter end of the scale in the name of performance
