There seems to be a sufficient number of complaints to list oil leaks. Just like for the Transfer Cases, if you have this problem, please add to the bottom of this thread.

Please keep this thread strictly just reporting on if you have an oil leak problem, and only if you have a confirmed problem. That's why the thread is stickied, to document actual data, not as a general complaint thread. Don't post your car is OK. Don't post you want to complain about the quality of the cars or other complaints. Don't clutter it up with other comments. Don't add other complaints. This list is only about leaking oil

34,000miles. 2017 gts. Bought used a few weeks ago and took it in to install carplay and got a call saying I have a leak in the timing cover. Covered under warranty and they said it’ll be done in 3 days

04/27/19 and 29560 miles - oil & filter change - oil found on the driver's side lower engine area and
above as far as viewable. Took photos and passed them along to the Porsche dealer. I have an appointment
in a few weeks to take it in and have this issue addressed.

04/21/2019 Oil leak from the timing cover on our 2017 Macan GTS @ 30,656 miles.

Being dropped off today to have the engine R&R's to replace the cover gasket and fix the leaks, dealer has done a few already.

5/1/2019 Oil Leak from timing covers 2015 Macan S 76,587 miles

Macan S in China, manufactured in Dec 15, delivered in Mar 16 with 35km now. Oil leak at timing chain cover, found in May 19. Now in dealer for replace gasket and sealant. Engine off from the bay, both timing chain cover and valve cover were removed. (I doubt why dealer remove the valve cover as leakage point only found at TC cover).

Just changed the oil this past weekend. I noticed slight oil leak above the oil pan, not sure how high up. The car is 3 years old with 17K. Will take it to the dealer soon.

Just got our MACAN back, engine was removed, dissembled to address the slight oil leak from the timing cover.

All back together, Baker Porsche of Charleston as always did an outstanding job with taking care of our Macan.

I will inspect the vehicle on my lift again in 1000 miles and make sure all is well, then again after 5000 miles.

Oil changed 30,000 at independent. Reported oil leak from turbo? Mentioned it was the second of these.

I took my '15 S in for its second transfer case replacement this month. Tech found the timing cover leak also. I almost never purchase an extended warranty but was sure glad I had this time; just a feeling I'd had when purchasing in the first year of production.

I have a 2018 Macan GTS. I bought it used and the dealer who did a prepurchase inspection said i had a leak of the timing cover but not to worry its covered under warrantly. After i bought it i took it to another dealer (closer to me) and they said there is seepage, but Porsche will not let them repair it unless its leaking more severely (and they need to provide picture evidence). i called the dealer that did the original inspection and they said porsche recently clamped down on these repairs and have put them under greater scrutiny. it sounds to me that given the cost of this repair they really want to avoid them if they think they car can survive.
