Hello all! Purchased my first Porsche this past January, a 2023 Macan T (Gentian Blue Metallic / Black Leather) and love it. Was a Land Rover owner for my previous 3 cars (LR2, Evoque, LR4) - drove my LR4 until it basically cost more to repair than was worth, so pulled the trigger on a spec Macan T (also looked at MB AMG GLC43, LR Defender). Couldn't be happier to have joined the Porsche family!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! I’ve yet to see Genetian Blue in person, but it looks beautiful in pictures.

If you wouldn’t mind, curious as to your initial thoughts in comparing the Macan build quality to that of the LR (generally)?

Thanks! I’d say my Macan build quality is better than my Range Rover or either of my Land Rovers. Now, I temper that with my RR Evoque being a 1st gen 2012, LR2 a 2008, and LR4 2013. The Land Rover line is solid, but materials seem a bit more plastic than my Porsche, even my Evoque (from what I recall) seemed a little less luxurious than the Macan. I did finally end my run with my 2013 LR4 which had close to 150,000 miles on it. Overall the LR line is more utilitarian, whereas the RR line is the luxury line - just IMO not on the same level as Porsche.
