Good day all, i recently put a deposit on a T as this was the allocation available (no base allocations, and don't want an S).

This is the build code: PPXS4WS6

Im a bit torn on whether to add the black roof rails or not, i likely would never use them so it would be a purely aesthetic addition. Would it make sense to add them for future resale value?

I added the dashcam prep in case i decide down the line to get one, anyone know if having this option is only helpful when installing a Porsche dealer sold dashcam, or would it be helpful for any dashcam installation?

I wanted to option the thermal / noise insulated glass however im told there is a stop sale on it right now.

Thanks for looking!

On the "Sporty" versions of the Macan (T and GTS), I feel the black roof rails just make the vehicle look more like an SUV....depends I guess how you view your Macan, an SUV or a hot hatch.

Personally I didn't opt for the roof rails because I feel my GTS looks better without them, and I would never use the roof rails anyway.

I opted for the $130 option thinking in the future I might add a front dashcam....that and getting the pre-wire option saves you big bucks, something like 4hrs of additional labor at the dealership since they would have to activate the Porsche dashcam after installation.

Not needed....especially if you don't live in a hot climate region. And replacement (due to breakage) of that noise insulated glass might be delayed due to supply issues. This is why I didn't opt for the heated front windshield either.

I don’t use my roof rails. I got them just in case. I have Jet Black Metallic paint with the high gloss black roof rails and they are almost invisible. Personally they look great to me but then again they are almost invisible. I might feel differently about them on a lighter exterior paint but I guess I’ll never know.

If you don't like the look of the roof rails and don't have a use for them, don't get them. Don't worry about the resale aspect of them. There are plenty of Macans in existence and plenty of buyers for them to fill pretty much any option choice. Roof rails is one where there are probably just as many who don't want them as there are who do.

I got them at factory build. Relatively inexpensive option and You can't add them later. You never know when you might need or wish you had a roof box or bike, ski carrier etc. Got a factory install hitch for same reason. $750 option and will cost at least double that to add later. I know I am going to carry a bike at some point.

Nice config, do you need to get 14 way seats? you are getting bit of an upgrade on default seats.

I was in the same boat as you, ended up getting roof rails, IMO it completes the look as well.

I also ordered T here is my config PPPVWZ45
