Hello everyone

Just took the Macan out on AutoX for the first time. Palm Beach Intl Speedway.

With a previous history of AutoX with other vehicles and also some open wheel racing, I must say the Macan GTS was throughly entertaining. The weak link was the All Season tires which will be replaced soon. Going back next Friday for another evening!

The tire photo expresses how heavy the Macan is. I really like my Macan for getting up the road but every vehicle has their limitations.

I understand that it’s a heavy vehicle, but body roll is > I would have expected

It is technically considered an SUV.

On a small tight track like that you really get the feeling that it does not like changing directions quickly, but it will do it.

Which tires are those? They look like an all season tread.
The GTS has AS so why does it still lean so much? I thought AS automatically adjusts and levels the car.

Maybe you have this in mind?
I have the PASM on my Macan S, which doesn’t change ride height. AS (air suspension) does.

Physics.

It’s about the same length and width as a 992, over a foot taller, weighs 500-800# more, has a higher ground clearance, and much more suspension travel.

I have both. The top heavy Macan just doesn't work well in a sports car mode.

If you think Macan has high body roll try taking Q3 there.

what is that yellow warning light that keeps flashing on the Tach display? TC?

Hahah yes it does. I would not take it to a traditional AutoX. We are lucky here the local track has a 9/10th of a mile karting track, so we use that. Traditional AutoX is too tight IMO and true road course would be better on the vehicle.

Don't really care for the 1/4 mile, but yes they have it.

Verde Scorpions by Pirelli. Going back this Friday to finish them off and then putting P Zeros on or SportContact6s.
