I never received one of these and must say it was exciting news . I wonder if anyone else ever got one. The closest I has was with my last 911 . when the car was built the track your dream app had a picture (my Avatar ) . No picture here it still was a nice gesture . I have a feeling my car will arrive early . I suppose that it is "built" it must mean I won't have to wait for an AMP or some other part . I hope so.

Forever the optimist - I haven't seen anything that would indicate the "Bose issue" has been resolved. Hope I'm wrong.

I ordered Burmeister after Porsche deleted my Bose . We tried to re add it and it pushed the delivery out . So I took a change with Burmester and it went ok . That was in August . The car locked in October . I got the letter last night.

I received my "Built" email on 11/11 and my sales manager gave me my VIN number. He then said my delivery date was pushed out from 11/25 to 12/2.

My GTS was ordered on Sep 21st, 2022 with the Bose sound system.

Wow, yours had a picture of the actual car in this configurator status. Mine didn’t have that even though it stated my name and car . Instead, this was the picture. It was a fleet of cars none of which do I have.

Weird. My email did list my last name, and the second paragraph stated "It's ready to embark on a journey from Emden, Germany to your dealership to your driveway. By land and by sea, roughly 5,000 miles in total. (Don't worry, none of them will hit the odometer...)"

I hope this means it's on a boat already sailing to the U.S.!

@Masscan December 2 is right around the corner. I was told December 18 is the week my car will be delivered. He did not give a specific day. I don’t usually ask but these last two cars have kept me on the edge of my seat. The last one was worse, though with the sinking boat and all i.
In previous years, I would just get a call from him, saying “are you busy”. It usually was earlier than expected.

A December 2 delivery means your car is not only on a boat, but nearing the port in the US. It’s likely Davisville in Rhode Island. At the port, they have a team of specialists and technicians. That’s where any last minute thing is addressed this new business of sending it over to the dealership, for the Bose is recent. In the past, they would hold it there. Keep in mind that the car is not actually delivered until hit your dealership, so the group that they have at the port are extremely talented technicians .

I did tell the sales manager that I needed one weeks notice before taking delivery so I can transfer money to my brick-and-mortar bank, so I'm hoping for a call from the dealership this week! (knock on wood)....

After I get a definitive delivery date, I can make an appointment to have PPF (partial $1,095), ceramic window tint on the front door glass ($250), and ceramic interior leather coating ($295) applied. Then I'll have to slap on my Winter wheel set....we've already had our first snowfall....:(

I needed a heads up as well. With my last car early traded and I cashed out the months in advance because it was a bigger expense. I’m facing this as well as a big repair on my 2007 car so I don’t even know how much this is all going to cost. I did consider selling my 2007 car and then I wouldn’t have to bother with anything but I can’t seem to let it go the truth is I like driving a new car so much that is kind of silly to have both. I’m just so emotionally attached to it but I think if I sell it, I would be devastated afterwards I guess the upside to it is that the new car is not ready yet and neither is my 2007. Watch both of them along with both bills hit me on the same day . that’s what I was actually trying to avoid.

@Masscan did you get a trade in number on your car? I got one but it was three months ago they gave me 76K I think the market has softened a bit. I also think my car has more miles. I’m rounding down and estimating at 70 they have surprised me in the past and match the original number. They also surprised me one time with a significant drop. In the case of the significant drop split the difference, usually it’s close. I just thought 76 was a great number in my favor. I would be thrilled to see that December 18.

I wish I could’ve handed it in on that day, but wife needs the car, that’s the hardest part about ordering a car it’s these intangibles that one tries to logically attach numbers to.

Man. Yesterday all I got was a text saying "Your Macan has been built!" and that's about it.

This is my first Porsche. I'm registered with my.porsche.com and I have the app. But I haven't gotten anything email, or through the app, about the car. And I can't even do anything with my order (commission) number through my.porsche.com or the My Porsche app. How have you guys set it up to get the info emailed/app'd to you?

Check your spam folder. It may have gone there since this is your first one. I also have my Porsche, but there’s nothing stated there. I never input the car there with my 911. It just appeared . I have a feeling the Macan will appear once I connect the Porsche connect. I know that the 9/11 documents everything from my average speed to where I was traveling and the time I drove there. That’s fine sometimes they probably get very bored when I have an average speed of 17 mph. Every once in a while, they see a spike and open their eyes more.

The final delivery dates are so uncertain, my dealer wouldn't even price out my trade in. Still won't, and my GTS is already on his lot, waiting for the Bose amp.

This will be my third Macan GTS, so I figured I'm already in their system, that and I've had a "My Porsche" account of some type since 2018....

They test drove my trade-in back on 9/21 when I first ordered, and asked would I be trading it in now....I said no I need a car to go to work, then said they would just appraise it again come the delivery date. No number was given.

A couple weeks ago I was getting numbers of $74,738 (KBB), $71,645 (Black Book), TrueCar ($68,275), and Edmunds ($67,663). My current GTS only has a little over 10,000 miles on it.

Glad to hear your SA is proactive. I ordered my S near or the same time as you on 8/20 to be exact as I also swapped for the Burmester since I did not want to wait. The build was supposed to be completed within the coming days if not already. My SA has been very lacking in initiative correspondence so I’m crossing my fingers that I’d hear something back soon.

The price on the trade is not a final price. It is the price that is used if I were to trade it in that same day, it gives some water than estimate. I generally have been surprised the upside with the Macan. In the past, I’ve been surprised of the downside, the most with the Boxster with the 911 much boils down to age and mikes . The more expensive the car is the more significant mileage becomes any car with under 10,000 miles is going to command a good price if well-kept.

This e mail thing is new , I like it !! I wish Porsche had the track your dream app with the Macan . It will make you even more obsessed with the delivery . They send pictures as its getting built and list the stages . They even name the boat its on and the next thing I knew I was following shipping schedules .

After I got the car and about two weeks passed I wounded what ever happened to the app . So I went back one last time . I had spent months looking at it daily . I needed. to look to have closure . Porshje must have known . I go to the app and it said this . I got all chocked up when I saw this .
