Custom Hood crest design

Is it hard to remove original hood crest? Any special tools required? Any suggestions on removing techniques would be appreciated!

From the picture....it looks like a "push pin" type fitting......looks easy....hoping

No. It's a small lock nut that can be accessed from underneath the hood. I had originally thought of 'creating' a Black Edition Macan Turbo by replacing the hood emblem with a gloss black one. Then painting the center crests on the black/gray center wheel caps gloss black. Finally, I was looking on line for a custom decal stating Black Edition and placing the words to the front of the side blades. My son talked me out of it.

Attached is a YouTube video! Very easy. Took me less than 5 min. 2 speed nut bolts and a 8mm nut screw driver. A tip is once you got the nut loosening up. Lower the hood to even so the nut doesn’t fall into the hood. Other than that it’s very simple. I installed the black one above the other day but found the red and black one and will install it Saturday.

I ordered the Red and Black one !

I like the silver, black and red for my Rhodium also but what to do with the standard emblems on the wheel caps? Was going to have my Turbo wheels powder coated black and just ordered new center caps with the standard emblems.

That’s a good question.......I asked Aasa about matching Caps, for the silver / black / maroon option, No Go.

I will have to see how this looks on....with the OEM Caps. Any ideas ? Oh, my wheels are PTM Rhodium.

Seems like you can mix and match different color caps with different color emblems.

Yeah I was gonna change my caps up until I found the red and black crest I just got and posted above that still matches my colored crest wheel caps that have been blacked out. Theres some on EBAY I found with the black background and silver badge. Black with silver badge caps

Spyder wheels need to have 65mm ... 76mm won't fit the Spyder 2.5 - 65mm cap. its hard to find the 65 places I found 76mm everywhere.
