Has anyone else here had a crack develop in their door handle? Mine is on the driver's side rear door. I don't see any indication of impact. Very strange.

Yes, I have the same on a rear passenger door handle. No impact evident. It looks like the outer lamination skin to allow the under surface button has split. Ordered a new one £435 but I'm suspicious that the fault is not impact related. I cannot be certain as I bought a used 18MY GTS with Black handles with 22K on the clock.
I wish I saw this post earlier. I have two 2020 Macan S vehicles. I noticed door handle hair-line cracks after 1 year in my White Macan. I fortunately found that it was covered by Porsche warranty by doing a little research. I sent pictures to my dealer who said they had to send it to Porsche for approval of free replacement. It took a while but it was approved. It took longer to get the part and then to get it painted. I think the dealer was lax in the process along the way too. I dropped off the car and it took a few days at the dealer but they replaced all 4 handles. Not sure why it took so long if it was already painted, but I asked for and got a a loaner during that time. In the meantime, I looked closely at my Dolomite Macan and found cracks there too. I repeated the procedure, with all the follow ups and delays. I am scheduled to bring the car in for fixing in 2 weeks. Not sure why the dealer is lax with this since I am sure they get reimbursed by Porsche for the trouble. In any event, if you have a Macan, you should check out the handles real carefully and then contact the dealer if you see cracks. Get all 4 replaced (they probably do this automatically) since they will probably all crack eventually. Not sure what the issue is, maybe the paint finish, but it seems to be a known problem. I haven't heard of this in any other Porsche model.

I had the door handles in my previous 2019 Macan replaced free of charge. The SA said it was a known issue. There is even a service bulletin out on it. They had two order new handles from Germany, then paint them prior to installation.

Mine were replaced free of charge, I didn't end up seeking reimbursement for the body work as I also had a similar thing on the piano black b pillars on the windows as well, and those were also replaced (although I am under warranty so YMMV)
I took mine in for finish problems on my pillars - they took a bunch of photos, tried to question my tint, and then never got back to me. Now I suddenly have handle cracks on my 2020 with 7000 miles.

Any bulletin# on the pillars? That would help me.
The handles have a bulletin, the pillars don’t. That being said, my car has tint on the rear windows and they didn’t give me any issue at all. I’d find another dealership - that should be covered.

So with the bulletin if you bring it in they will repair it? Even out if warranty?
That piece I’m not sure about. It’s a technical bulletin and not a safety recall so I don’t know if they are REQUIRED to do it (someone else may be able to chime in on that) If you call your dealership and provide the bulletin they should be able to tell you if Porsche will cover the cost even though you’re out of warranty.

Thank you!
As of last week, both of my 2020 Macan S vehicles had their door handle cracks fixed. Actually, they replaced all 4 handles on each, of course. They didn't actually repair them. White and Dolomite. colors. It took way longer than it should have. The entire process. From taking pictures, sending them to my dealership, having them get approval from Porsche, ordering the handles, getting them in and painted, and setting up an appointment when they had a loaner for me, was months. Too many months. With numerous follow ups or it never would have happened. But it is now done. I think Porsche should have sent out a notice to the affected vehicles and replaced the door handles on their 10,000 service but that would be logical and costly. Don't give up. Get them replaced. Who knows what happens down the road otherwise.
It’s ridiculous that Porsche comes out with the third facelift but can’t even come out with a updated part that can solve the issue once and for all. I mean common guys, this door handle issue has been reported since 2015 and they still haven’t come out with a part to replace the defective part. I’m surprised nobody sued them yet.
Very valid point. They did fix both of my vehicles and gave me loaner cars each time. That said, it still was a pain to chase them each time to get it done, and then to bring car there and then pick up. Shouldn't be necessary years after the issue was discovered.
I mean they can charge you for keyless entry but if it’s defective it’s not porsches fault. Maybe defect-less handles are a separate option.

With the Porsche appropriate charge. Four year handles $400; eight year handles $800.
I had one handle ordered under warranty; it’s not even in yet and 2 more handles have cracked. The only one not cracked at this point is my driver’s door - go figure!

X your fingers, one to go. I'd like it if you would set a poll here where we could all gamble on when the #4 lets go.

We’re blessed that Porsche didn’t go with the pay per use business model for their door handles.
I noticed this on three of my door handles today.
Looks like there is a newer D revision.

Not sure if it's available yet.

I am going on my third time of having handles replaced because of cracks. If you read earlier posts in this thread, you will see that I had all 4 handles replaced. Since then I have had another handle that was already replaced, replaced again. This was the passenger rear handle. I just had that replaced two months ago and now I noticed that every handle with the exception of the one that was just replaced two months ago has cracked. I have notified the dealer last week, but haven't heard back from them. This will be my third visit for cracked door handles. When they replaced the four, I was told that had a newer revision with a new part number. Now all four of them got the same cracks. I think it is only a matter of time before the one that I had replaced two months ago fails.
I will let them know about the latest revision on the door handle.
