I just got back from the dealer and brought a copy of the bulletin #1901. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. They are ordering me 3 new door handles and should get them in a couple of days. Once they come in, they go to the body shop to get painted. They told me that they only had one other Macan come in with the stress cracks on the handles and this person only had one door handle that was affected.

Good to hear. Great idea to show up at the dealer armed for battle :)

After reading this thread I inspected my door handles. Sure enough, both of the passenger side doors have tiny cracks. (2018 S CPO w/24K miles currently) The dealer is about an hour away. I didn't realize that they don't come painted from the factory. So, sounds like two trips are in order.

About two months ago I found a crack on the rear right door handle, but because it also had a minute chip on the outside surface (<1mm²) they refused to change it under warranty or recall, saying it's possible it was damaged by someone opening a door into it. It was funny since they also told me it was a common problem with the Macan.

I had to pay I think CHF560 to have it replaced.

Update: I called Sunset Porsche (Beaverton, OR) today and spoke with a SA. After I told her that I am an hour away, she told me to take a few pictures of the cracks and email them to her, along with the VIN, which I did. Within minutes I got a reply, stating that the door handles have been ordered. They will be sent to a body shop for painting and then I will have to come over to get them replaced. Saved me an extra trip to the dealer. Nice.

Finally mine are replaced all under warranty. They somehow broke the lock in the process and had to replace the whole mechanism.. made specifically for my car in Germany ...

I had 3 of my 4 door handles replaced yesterday. Everything came out perfect. When I first brought the car to them and showed them the 3 door handles, I asked if they could order one for the only door handle that did not have a crack which was the driver's door. I thought I would be proactive and that if 3 of the 4 were cracked, it was only a matter of time. They told me that they had to send the defective door handles to Porsche so they could not do that.

When I went to pick up my car yesterday, I was informed that there was a small crack on the driver's door handle that really can't be seen in regular light, but they saw it when they were replacing my other handles with the overhead lighting. They showed it to me when I went to retrieve my car, and even with them shining a light on the handle, I could barely see any crack. They said it would only be a matter of time before it got worse, so they are ordering another handle and I will have to wait for it to be painted and drop my car off again in a couple of weeks.

I could see the other 3 cracked door handles with no problem, but this one is really hard to see.

Got both passenger side door handles replaced today. I asked them to check my transfer case, because I felt subtle symptoms a few times. SA told me that my TC needs to be replaced. Waiting for the part.

I have just returned from my dealer after having the 2 rear door handles replaced under warranty. It took about 2 weeks to get the parts and have them painted. A very easy transaction with the dealer. I will be watching the other 2 handles for signs of cracking.

I just noticed the two handles on the Drivers' side have cracks. 10 Month Old Macan S. The dealer said it was a known problem. He is ordering two handles, will repaint them to match car (obviously !!!) and install. All warranty. Champion Porsche of Pompano Beach.

I mentioned the possibility painting all of the handles in Gloss Black. He said yes, they could certainly do it, but we would then be moving out of a warranty issue into a modification issue ($$$) considering only two handles have the crack. I suppose I could just paint two of them. I said forget it.
