Cayenne or Macan?

I've noticed a lot of comments around the net that the Macan will bring a lot of new customers to Porsche due to the lower starting price.

If money was no objection, would you prefer a Cayenne or Macan?

For me, I'm over 6 foot and like the space of the Cayenne, I'm getting the Macan because I can do 0-100 in 5.2 sec and it will cost me 100K. The base Cayenne does 0-100 in 7.8 sec, to do a similar time as the Macan, you really need to spend around the 150K.

So, for me if money was no objection, it would be the turbo Cayenne for me.
I'm still going love my Macan though :)

For me, it was partly the cost equation and partly the mileage - coming from a MDX with 14-15 MPG, I want something better

It's why I was considering the Q5 for a while
If cost was removed from the equation I'd consider either a Cayenne Turbo S or GTS but would likely end up with a BMW X5M.

But actually if money was no object I probably wouldn't try to have all things in one vehicle and would have a Range Rover for the winter and a Pagani Hyuara in the summer.
If money was no object I would go with a Cayenne Turbo S, but due to my circumstances it will have to be a lower trim Macan, which I have no problem with.
Isn't the Macan going to be more expensive than the Cayenne though?

I am more of a fan of the Macan. I don't need the extra space of the Cayenne and would rather have a smaller vehicle.
I like the smaller size of the Macan

Just comes down to what your needs are.
I just got my Cayenne, with a 6-speed manual!
All the options I wanted and under $60k.
The 0-62mph is 7.0 sec ... good enough for me.

That sounds very nice, I priced up your car here in Australia, we would pay around $135,000 for that car, you could say we get ripped off over here. This is why the Macan is a much better option for me, the price comparison is much more realistic.

Enjoy your ride:)
Definitely Macan for me. It is cheaper, faster, and fits in my garage more easily than a Cayenne.

I never thought I'd replace my Golf R as there was no vehicle that could match it for speed, quality and practicality - until the Macan came along :)
For me, the price wasn't the most important factor, but the size, weight and performance were. I have been waiting for the Macan ever since it was in the works as the Cajun.

Good lord I'm glad they dropped that moniker. That might have been a deal breaker for me.
Yes, that name did suck :) "Tiger" sounds about right for the first sports car in the segment! :)

Also, the Tiger is leaps ahead of the competition:D
