Hi,

i have used this place below once for my Boxster. Great service and communication. Free uber rides if you are not waiting. Check them out.

Porsche Service in Boca Raton, Fl | Autobahn of Boca Raton
USP Motorsports in Coral Springs is great - USP Motorsport

Been going there for years with multiple German cars (VW, Audi) and plan to take my Porsche there.
Thanks to both of you for your responses. I'll give them both a call and see which one seems a better fit.
Let us know the outcome, Autobahn is super close to my office and I will give them a call when service time comes around.

I've been familiar with the owner of USP for decades in the car scene here and I know he has been a big Porsche fan for at least that long.

If I had a transmission issue out of warranty, USP would be my first call since they deal with those units so much more in their Audi and VW work. Likely better than a pure Porsche shop that deals with the 911 et al. PDKs vs. the Audi units in the Macan.
The list can be used to double check those that are recommended..... if the OP so chooses

Your USP is on that list..... Autobahn is a bit lower
I'm not due for scheduled service for awhile but wanted to get some ideas in the event I have an unscheduled need crop up. However, I do plan to post my review of whatever shop I do end up using after the car is serviced. So far I've only had my first year "free" oil change but from what I can see, the cost of service going forward is going to be a bit ridiculous and the work was a bit sloppy at my Porsche dealership.

I had an Audi Q5 prior to this Macan and service was always a nightmare.....not just the expense but the poor quality of work from the dealer's shop. It seemed like nothing was ever done right the first time. The final straw was when the side assist feature stopped working as soon as I left the dealer's service garage after routine maintenance on the car. It was working when I drove there but not when I left. They had no interest in trying to resolve it with me and charged me $300 to diagnose the problem with a subsequent estimate of over $3,000 to repair the problem. The failure of that system after they worked on the car was just too much coincidence for me to not think that they did something to damage it.

I was hopeful Porsche would have better quality service but there was an issue with my visit for the first oil change. So....now i find myself looking for an independent shop that will hopefully be better than my prior experience with Audi and Porsche. I'm under the impression that my warranty will not be voided as a result of using an independent......is that correct?

Thanks to all that have replied.

You can use an independent shop and keep your warranty, that's what I'll be doing to officially record the work as a supplement to my own work.

Which dealer did you have the poor experience with?

Also, if you need a body shop in the area, I highly recommend Boca Raton Paint & Body. They painted my sport design mirror swap as well as rear diffuser. The work is fantastic. I have a rear bumper lower portion there now and will have some other parts painted as well to get rid of the black plastic pieces. Great experience with them so far.
This is all great info - I live in the Boca area and will keep these shops top of mind should I need work done.

Any recommendations on a tint shop? Want to get front windows tinted (friend recommended Tint King in WPB but that's a bit of a hike). Anyone use this place, Auto SuperShield | Premium Paint Protection Film ??

Heard good things about them. I use a group down the street from them in Boca, Superior Tint. Been going there for a decade with a variety of cars.

Would love to link up one day and check out all the cool touches you've made to the Macan! I'm in the Delray/Boynton area.

Nice, they're right down the street from me. Will definitely check them out & get a quote (I also want to see if they can put Xpel on the screen & center console to give it the Matte finish as opposed to the glossy).

I recommend this place too. A few of my friends have used it for years as well.

Let me finish up a few more of those touches and that could work, my office is in East Boca. Not too many chalk Macan S in the area, I'm sure I've seen it around.
