Mine build completed on 16 Jan and the vessel left port on 26th. Seemed like I was sooo lucky...It's taking so long. Build finished on 16th Feb. Hasn't left port yet.
It still seems bizarre that in 2023, manufacturers still can’t provide a website/app that allows Customers to login to see progress with your car from the day your order is accepted.I have had to do some fancy sleuthing to find out just when the <ahem> a boat will arrive to pick my car up. So looking at the links in this thread I found the Heogh sailing schedule for a ship. Switched it to port mode, Set Bremerhaven to Melbourne and voila! The Hoegh Oslo is due to leave 16/03, the date Porsche are estimating up to.
It's nice to have some peace of mind that a ship is actually coming, although the 16th will mean my car has sat at the port for a month by the time it loads.
If anyone else is waiting I assume this is likely to be your ship too.
I reckon what they provide us in the portal is a pretty good start. I mean they dont show all the shipping port stops etc, but at a high level the milestones are pretty handy. So much time on emails and phone calls could be saved by allowing a subset of data on their in-house systems to be accessible. Sigh.
How long has that been available ? Wasn’t something I knew about !I reckon what they provide us in the portal is a pretty good start. I mean they dont show all the shipping port stops etc, but at a high level the milestones are pretty handy. View attachment 268275
Whats the point of that if the cars are sitting at port for over 2 months, wihout any intimation from the port authorities to porshe Australia. It still seems bizarre that in 2023, manufacturers still can’t provide a website/app that allows Customers to login to see progress with your car from the day your order is accepted.

Anyway, @Tony123, you’ll soon be next watching the boat slowly churning around the globe. It’s fun eh ?
This is the quintessential delivery checklist threadMines finally arrived, getting the financials finished will pickup next week. Is there anything to look out for during delivery?
Any advice welcome.
Geez, thats a comprehensive list !This is the quintessential delivery checklist threadThere's nothing anything can do to better list the things you want to know/do on that day

Things new owners might want to know
I suspect that many Macan buyers are first time buyers of the marque. So in good faith, here are some things to expect. This is my opinion. If this is not your first Porsche, YMMV. Everyone is different. This is my opinion. You might find the following to be true, particularly in NA. Since...www.macanforum.com
I have a question for you though. When we go into collect our car, what is the best way to pay? I've never bought something so expensive that it didn't fit on a credit card haha. Barring my house which the bank kind of took care of. Is it just a bank cheque?
Does EFT let you transfer that much? There's an element of not giving them the money until you've inspected the car yourself in that list too I think. Not sure if that matters. Could just sit there at the dealer and do the transfer but I guess that might take a few days which I would not be cool withGeez, thats a comprehensive list !
I just transferred the cash by EFT. I honestly couldn’t see a Porsche dealer going belly up so was pretty confident all would be good 🫣 - of course partly because I couldn’t be bothered going into a bank and getting the cheque…
The bank can setup a limit override but I just did $25k/day so didn’t take long (only for a T after all 🤪)Does EFT let you transfer that much? I'm sure everything would be okay. But imagine trying to get your money back from the dealer hahahahaThe bank can setup a limit override but I just did $25k/day so didn’t take long (only for a T after all 🤪)
You could always pay 95% and then do a credit card payment for the remainder on the day providing everything is OK ?
New-car delivery delays are expected to get worse before they get better, as more than 60,000 vehicles are stranded offshore or in a backlog awaiting quarantine clearance at ports around Australia.NOOOOOO!
Talking about a TWO MONTH DELAY and saying to “take a deep breath” and to “be patient and work through it”. REALLY!! A manufacturer can lock, build and ship a brand new car to Australia in the same time that Australia can CLEAN THEM!?!?
my car arrives at Melbourne port at the end of April. I guess I’m lining up too. Frustrating. Hire some more people during this time. Anticipate the extra demand.
It will be great to hear from you when you have the car, and to know what we can expect!
My Macan S is scheduled for July delivery ~ fingers crossed!
I opted for the factory installed dashcam wiring, although I hope there is some flexibility regarding which dash cam can be installed.
I am sure you won't be disappointed with your S when you finally receive it.
Enjoy your rocket ship!![]()

Got the vehicle delivered on Monday. Went straight to get it ppfed. And finally got it back yesterday. No visible dashcam wires, connections or ports. So have to guess that all the wiring is hidden somewhere. I've also booked in to get a Blackvue 900 2ch dashcam installed. Just posting some random photos right after getting it ppfed. Love the car, but still getting used to an suv coming from a car.It will be great to hear from you when you have the car, and to know what we can expect!
