My bad apparently the ship was stuck in traffic at the port. it docked on 2023-02-17 02:32.

can confirm wait is agonising. Mine is built and at the port in Germany waiting for a lift over.
Have you got all your cleaning supplies? Micro fibre towels, solutions, sprays, mitts etc? That’s something you can get ordered while you wait 😛

My further investigation has revealed that factory installed dash cam wiring is for front and rear dash cams.
Essentially, the factory installed wiring is to provide a power source for any installed dash cam.
My understanding is that the dash cam operates as a separate system, not reliant on the car's software system.
That means any dash cam can be installed and connected to the power supply installed by the factory.
What about the socket? I think most of the third party dash cams have micro usb and some have usb-c.

I can't answer your question at this time. If you can wait until July, I will be able to give you first hand information!
As it seems to be only a recent addition to the Macan option list, considering the delivery delays, I don't think anyone would have received a vehicle with that configuration yet.
Maybe your dealer can find out for you.
Actually I believe this option came with the MY23 in April 2022, which means if the allocation was July 22 then you could tick the box.
My car was built in Janurary and I did not tick the box as I thought it was for Porsche dash cam only and uses a special socket.
Yes I will regret it if it provides an universal socket and can be connected to any third party dash cam. Please let me know.

My car is on this ship too 😭 I’m about to sell my Mercedes and I’m potentially facing a few weeks driving a rental. It will probably be a Kia or something equally revolting. Just awful.

I have it optioned on my Macan S, currently sitting in Port Kembla since Sunday. Hopefully will get delivered in couple of weeks.
Meanwhile Porsche paramatta said that you can just have the front porsche dashcam and it would record the rear as well. Guessing it will connect to the reversing camera or so. Will report back once I have the car

My Macan S is scheduled for July delivery ~ fingers crossed!
I opted for the factory installed dashcam wiring, although I hope there is some flexibility regarding which dash cam can be installed.
I am sure you won't be disappointed with your S when you finally receive it.

I looked back through your post of when you ordered. You've waited so...****...long! I don't know if I could have done 13 months. I live in a smaller place with less money and people so was able to hop straight onto an existing build slot and consider myself to be super darn lucky. And even still, my 4 month wait is killing me!
What‘s your “final” build code ?

You may get yours earlier than I, my final day for changes is 17 March!
Or maybe they will arrive on the same ship!
It's a long wait since I ordered at the start of April last year.
Although I was advised the Macan S is most popular model, so will take longer to arrive.

Not really its all controlled by Porshe Aus and unless someone cancels after ordering.Then too there is a lot of demand.
