But you do get Power Steering Plus ($500) and ACC ($1620) included (plus ORC ?) 🙄

The Base and S look like they no longer have leather seats standard ? Alcantara now mentioned ?
I suspect this only happened because in literally every single Australian review I read and watched this year Porsche got repeatedly slammed for not offering AEB as standard. Now we’ve just gotta shame them repeatedly until 5 year warranty is standard.

also PDLS+ now standard on GTS. I see matrix has quietly disappeared from configurator again 😅

I don’t see the warranty as a big deal either way as you can just increase it as you go at a cost of about 1k a year

Went in for a chat today with my SA and as I am still waiting for an allocation I am now a MY23 build so get hit with a pricerise of just under 3 k :cautious: It wasn’t too bad for me as some of the options I had before are now standard inclusions. He tells me he has over 120 people to contact with the “ bad news”
I am now second on the list so they anticipate that I will likely be an August build so delivery around November
Will see how it pans out .

That's not too bad, although still sub-optimal. I guess I should be expecting news before long...

The way I see it I am happy to pay the extra for an MY23 build as it will come back to me at resale time. To be taking an MY22 build in November didn’t excite me too much
Beardy, do you have the code of your final build ? Was it ACC and PDLS+ that are now standard for the MY23 GTS ?

By changing from a Base to a T I jumped up the queue so have a allocation and missed out on the increase. But I’m still on the fence if I made the right decision changing the side blades from Agate to body colour, now thinking Gloss Black might have been a better idea. The level of customisation possible is a blessing and a curse 😂

Don't they value the car based on build date and not MY these days?

Dealers seem to play games with this , if you are selling they use it to beat the price down but switch method if your buying to push value up

I know if I was buying a used car I would favour the later MY . Regardless it is what it is, your old contract is now void and a new one has to be signed or get your deposit back and walk.

I finally took delivery this week - Gentian Blue S.

I've probably put 15km it.. just having a shocker of a week really and haven't been able to spend much time with the car.

So far... WOW.

Initial impressions -

  1. The tech will take a bit of getting used to. It's maybe not as intuitive as BMW's.. but maybe that's just me needing to acclimatise.
  2. It's an absolute dream to drive. The effect of the PASM settings is noticeable.. and the SPORT button... again. Wow.
  3. Very glad I didn't go with the Sport Exhaust.. the car is loud enough, with a throaty roar, pops and burbles.
  4. The overall quality of the vehicle is extremely impressive.

Have you got some photos? When was the order placed?

I have now been hit with the price increase. It's come in at about 8k which is not great.

However, it looks like now I am in a position where I could spec a T for about 2.5k more than my price. I'm tempted to go down that path - seems like a better value proposition at this point...

I'm oscillating between this and just cancelling!

Will the change help or hinder your delivery date ?

After procrastinating about buying a Macan for years, I’d say order a T. You won’t have a base model (physiologically at least !) and resale might even be better. You’ll get a fair few extras for the money too…

Much of a muchness with delivery date - I've been told end of this year or early next on the base, and the T is also the same although more likely to be next.

Yeah, if I am going to proceed I think it probably doesn't make much sense to just stick with the base.
