Thought it would be good to keep track of the following for Australian orders, see how these are progressing with all the delays being reported globally.

Order Date: Start October 2021
Model: Macan GTS
Where: Sydney
Build Date Received: 16/3
Ship Departed:
Expected Delivery:
Mid June

Will update when I get more details.

Thanks

The Heogh Trooper Docked in Mebourne 7 days ago. Unloaded all the cars, still waiting on quarantine clearance as the whole ship was quarantined for biosecurity. Two to Three weeks is the ETA.
The Hoegh Tokyo landed in Brisbane a couple days ago and my Macan is now being prepared for delivery, ETA one week from today! 😀
You boys are lucky. Most carriers are hitting quarantine in Melbourne.

Its a nightmare, customs put the previous deliveries in Quarantine. Porsche Aus did send out a clean up crew to speed things up. The still havent inspected our lot a
nd 12 more ships are waitng in the harbour to drop more cars. Thats almost 40,000 cars waiting to be docked.

My car is on this ship too 😭 I’m about to sell my Mercedes and I’m potentially facing a few weeks driving a rental. It will probably be a Kia or something equally revolting. Just awful.
I already sold mine in Feb. Lugging around in a company delivery Van ATM.

Any idea on the current lead time on the Macan T? Does it matter which dealer you go to?
Not really its all controlled by Porshe Aus and unless someone cancels after ordering. Then too there is a lot of demand.
It still seems bizarre that in 2023, manufacturers still can’t provide a website/app that allows Customers to login to see progress with your car from the day your order is accepted.

So much time on emails and phone calls could be saved by allowing a subset of data on their in-house systems to be accessible. Sigh.

Anyway, @Tony123, you’ll soon be next watching the boat slowly churning around the globe. It’s fun eh ?
Whats the point of that if the cars are sitting at port for over 2 months, wihout any intimation from the port authorities to porshe Australia.

Currently at this stage my car got to the port in Jan and Porshe Australia have no clue as to when delivery would be possble.

I know these are first world problems for some overpriced cars but its getting out of hand.

This would be nuts for all the cars just getting through Melboune (328,825 units FY21-22)

Mines finally arrived, getting the financials finished will pickup next week. Is there anything to look out for during delivery?
Any advice welcome.
NOOOOOO!

Talking about a TWO MONTH DELAY and saying to “take a deep breath” and to “be patient and work through it”. REALLY!! A manufacturer can lock, build and ship a brand new car to Australia in the same time that Australia can CLEAN THEM!?!?

my car arrives at Melbourne port at the end of April. I guess I’m lining up too. Frustrating. Hire some more people during this time. Anticipate the extra demand.
New-car delivery delays are expected to get worse before they get better, as more than 60,000 vehicles are stranded offshore or in a backlog awaiting quarantine clearance at ports around Australia.
It’s today for me to complete the loop. Walking into the Porsche centre in 5 mins to get it. I did not sleep well last night haha!
Finally. Go get the tiger...
