After market anti theft - IGLA

Toronto GTA based, with lots of vehicles stolen every day. Does anyone have any feedback on a newer device from Arthur Alarm, called the IGLA that taps into the bus of electronics of the Macan. Would this void warranty, does it work? The videos look intriguing, you press buttons in the vehicle in a certain sequence and you can drive normal… if not then the perp can’s steal your Macan… sounds too good to be true. Cost in US is ~$500 + installation.
Anyone?

Adding a pin-coded cell phone interruptor would add some degree of addition security beyond the stock Porsche alarm.
Of course, a DIYer could install a wired ignition inhibitor with a hidden activation switch too. It's up to you whether you think the hassle or expense of one more touchscreen pin code in your life is worth it. Given the prevalence of tracking systems available these days, is theft of the vehicle more likely, or is it a smash & grab theft of items from the vehicle the more likely risk?

These days a manual transmission is the single best theft deterrent by far. Shame that Porsche couldn't offer it in every model.
Im from Toronto too. Toronto / GTA have turned into absolute sh1tholes. Vehicle thefts and Car Jackings up significantly year over year. Im eager to hear suggestions on how to protect my Macan and other vehicles as well. Its something that I never really thought of or needed before, but now that we have our first child who is 5 months, I want to do everything possible to make sure we're not victims. Hoping some other members have some suggestions for the vehicle itself as that is 1 area im clueless on since it was never really an issue.
Not even kidding this IGLa popped in my youtube... pressing buttons etc etc.. TBH my cars stay garaged but when i am visiting GTA jesus its scary
If someone break into my car, I prefer they take it and I never find it again. What good would be to get your car back in pieces? My cousin had his BMW 5 series parked at a street in Milan. The thieves couldn’t take the car but they took the entire panel of the car. From the part in front of the driver where you have the gauges, etc… to the radio controls, touch screen device, etc… All they left was a bunch of electrical wires hangin there. Insurance company paid to get it back in shape and the car had gremlins everywhere. Better to get it replaced by another car.
I did the Search Community look around, but didn't see anything on this subject. We are suffering through a Defund the Police movement in Seattle. Car theft has skyrocketed. Has anybody come up with a theft deterrent for the Macan? I am hoping some one of these bright techs we have here has figured out a way to easily disarm the ability of the car to run outside stock options. What might that be?
Wwahl, what Throttle pedal do you have ?
There is a built in “disable” feature in some of these. Needs BT connectivity.

^^^^ Bingo!!!! . . . just another reason these throttle boosters are the best $150-300 an owner can invest on their Macan

AVM

P.S. the throttle booster could also be used for what seems the best solution from my perspective . . . point your Macan somewhere east of Seattle, apply throttle and never look back.

Yes, I have a Pedal Commander. How does this work for this purpose?
Perhaps the Eco mode will get a thief to abandon the “broken” Macan or at least slow them down so law enforcement can catch them, assuming Seattle LE still cares enough to make an arrest.
