Can someone confirm if the plastic lower rear diffuser for an 2022 is pn 95B807521A?

I was rear ended at low speed today and my flawless car has a dented rear diffuser. What a pain!

Porsche perimeter parts in Atlanta is the site I look to to reference parts for P cars. you can buy from them as well at a discount (though with shipping, it may even out).

Removing a bumper and replacing yourself sounds easier than it is with all the sensors, clips and wires. Do you not know who rear ended you? This should be covered by insurance and a minitort to get your deductible back from the at fault driver. The process might differ in no fault auto states but still doable.

I THINK OP is trying to avoid insurance claim, e.g., to avoid CarFax report of an 'accident?'

I agree with you that swapping out a rear diffuser COULD be more to bite off than most would consider going into the project.

Thanks for the replies. The plan is to have an autobody shop do the work. It appears from external visual inspection that only the bumper cover itself will need to be replaced plus labor. They have identified the part for me.

Good call

I try to avoid anecdotes but . . . but my friend was also, ever so gently 'rear-ended' in his 718 Spyder recently. By all appearance, rear bumper paint scrapes that the repair shop originally thought could be addressed with repainting the bumper. Once they got the bumper off it became clear the bumper mount took more of the blow than apparent . . . long story short, it became an involved and expensive endeavor.

Again, just an anecdote, but enough to consider when choosing between DIY and having a professional shop involved.

An interesting anecdote that I heard from the body shop is that CarFax and other reporting agencies gets their “accident” data from the motor vehicle registry. If you don’t file a form with the registry, then it won’t appear on those reports. Not sure if this is true, but is interesting if true.
Hey Buddy, sorry to hear

I was recently involved in a similar situation where I was stopped in rush hour bumper to bumper traffic and a lady in a XT4 rear ended me at low speed (probably texting)

Unfortunately we went thru insurance cause she denied hitting me and made a scene and there was absolutely no chance of settling as she was aggressive. Luckily I had dash cam footage from a witness and she was deemed 100% at fault

The repair was just shy of 4.5K Cad i believe as I needed the new diffuser, exhaust finishers, reflectors and exhausts tips on 1 side and potentially a muffler and there was no way was gonna swallow that and pay it out of pocket and I don't really mind resale cause its just a Macan and Im planning to drive this car to the ground anyways and plus it was a light tap at like 5-6km an hour

If they didn't update the diffuser I would of had some paint damage which would be worst and at least its just plastic for now and the paint is still intact and original

Btw, its been just over 1.5 Months since the accident and just dropped off the car Tuesday to the body shop cause parts have to be flown in from Germany

Sounds like your impact was a bit harsher than mine. All body parting lines, mufflers and exhaust tips appear unaffected. So I am hoping it is simply the diffuser cover. I agree that the newer diffuser style fortuitously saves us from a repaint. I hope the wait for the part isn't too long. We'll see. Thanks for your input!

I often wonder in cases like yours how many front/side totaled Macans are sitting in a salvage yard with a perfectly good rear diffuser that could be had for peanuts on the Porsche premium dollar . . . and with no 'supply shortage' wait time???
