Purchased a 2016 Macan S with 45k miles with a minor front bumper accident on the history. Gorgeous sapphire blue.

The good: Mileage was low and drove great. Body repair was done at a Porsche dealer. Minor niggles like the radio/infotainment is dated but it works well enough and an additional module can be added for Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Came with all the driver assists (for the time): adaptive cruise, and blind spot warning. Heated and cooled seats.

The not-so-good: Porsche dealer was shady, sadly, and put a sticker on it that said it passed the state inspection when the brakes were done. And I had it in writing the brakes were at "50%". But there was 0.010" left on the rotors and 1/32" left on the pads, yet didn't trip the sensor somehow. And recently, it gave a transmission warning when backing into the garage. Taking it to a local independent Porsche shop a week from now. fingers crossed The error went away on the restart. I suspect the valve system based on the other threads on this forum.

Additions: Proclip phone mount with wireless charging (worth the money). A 2nd hand Rennline tow hook plate mount. Personal feedback, on the plate mount. Overdesigned and overpriced for what it is. Subject to stripping tapped aluminum using stainless bolts (which have galvanic corrosion over time, especially outside). Aluminum-aluminum interfaces gall up really badly if you try to adjust when tightening. It feels that the primary materials are alloy 6061, not the harder aircraft rated 7000 alloys. If you're going to spend the time to make something "billet", then actually pick the better materials. The actual flat plate mount is anodized black aluminum which is probably the most expensive part. That being said, I'm still on the hunt for a decent plate mount, but I don't want to drill into my bumper. Open to thoughts/suggestions!

Where did you get it from? What Porsche dealer in what state?
This would be very serendipitous if you are actually the original owner!

I don't want to call out the dealer directly, but I picked it up in VA in the DC Metro Area. There are a few options in that region.

Also, one awesome thing to add is the paint protection on the front end. I realize how expensive that system is and it's nice to minimize rock chips.

if it is mine i did have the PDK service done before i traded it in and the car did not throw any codes, I got rid off the car because the warranty ran out and did not want a Porsche out of warranty, I am very paranoid. I read all of the PDK threads and freaked out. Also if it is mine I babied the crap out it. i hope it is mine because you got a really got well taken care of car. I washed it once a week and kept 5 coats of griots carnauba wax on it. the clearbra was also put on day one so the paint should be perfect. The battery is also brand new and all of the service was done at the dealer.
I am pretty sure it was. I have the color-matched keys as well. May I ask about the accidents? I understand the risks involved with minor accidents but it wasn't a huge deterrent for me.

I was cross-shopping several vehicles, but I went for this one because of a friend who had a Macan for a few years and took it up to 90k miles before trading it for a larger car for their new kid. So I went into it knowing the risks even with the PDK. I'm glad that you did the 40k-mile service. I have seen the valve body (solenoids) can go bad, **** they've gone bad on my old GM truck after 110k miles. I've even had an old economy car have a full-on engine failure at 10k miles (aluminum block, small crack where it slowly leaked out coolant until it overheated). I probably have bad luck... lol

In my case for the warning notices, the car was warm after driving on the highway and I was backing into my garage which is on somewhat of a moderate slope. Perhaps the slow feathering combined with the heat caused the issue?

The brakes on the other hand should have been noticed by the dealer regardless, all cars wear out brakes between 30 and 70k miles depending on usage and driving style. Nothing unusual there, just bad oversight.

The paint is immaculate by the way, thank you for all the care on the body. It doesn't even look like the bra got much UV exposure either, with no yellowing or cracking. I'm assuming garage kept? Also, I did notice the white calipers after a quick detail when I first got it back. Nice touch!

That's great to know about the timing chain cover and transfer case! Any chance you know the mileage when it was done?

I suspect it is the same, some of your old posts show the calipers being white in the photos.

The leather is in amazing shape. I have detailed my former cars for more functionality. So I am looking for good leather products at the moment.

One more confirming feature, did yours have the all weather mats and rear cargo Porsche protection mat?

This is great information again, I really do appreciate your responses. It has made me feel better after that warning message.

I'll have to take a peak at the battery. I'm about to head out on a week-long business trip, so I won't be able to check until next weekend.

I am planning on doing a wheel-off detail at some point in the near term. It's white/silver for sure. Hard to tell with brake dust at the moment. It accumulates so quickly! What kind of wheel woolies or other detailing tools did you use for the small spaces on the wheels?
