£12k premium on GTS

Used Cars | Sheffield, South Yorkshire| John Holland

Just came across this link. I put it through the Porsche configurator and it added up to just over £62k

It's the only one I can find for sale in the UK. Whilst I'm sure it's wildly optimistic it does bode well for residuals :) 0:)

That is crazy! Strange that UK get so few allocations. Good for residuals within UK though so really not any idea to compare to other markets. If you didn't have the steering wheel on the right a lot of people would probably import cars from other nearby countries. Germany for instance.

"Big spec" on the white GTS is a little bit over exaggerated. Quite basic spec if you ask me :D
Is it me or UK auto market is batshit crazy? Maybe I am just spoiled because car prices are the cheapest in the US.

Banderras,

Personally, I never pay MSRP for any automobile. A markup is out of the question! Wait a bit and you should get discounts.:)

@gradyex Did you actually get a discount on your GTS from our stingy Bay Area dealers?

$1500.00 was all I could get off MSRP. Repeat customer too.:(
The likelihood of getting a discount here in the UK on a GTS is precisiely zero. I've heard of some dealerships closing their books on the GTS due to massive demand. Mine is coming in 4 weeks :) :) :)

Do you guys really have a 2 year waiting list to get a GTS? They won't even be making them then. That is crazy! Why? Your government? I don't understand?
I got a $1,500 discount on my S back in 2015 when the wait list for the car was crazy. It is all about how you negotiate. :)

not just the GTS - my dealer was basically sending me away when I said I never paid MSRP for any car.. he said "I'd rather have you walk away right now. Just cant do"
This is old hat.

It did happen and the dealer got their knuckles wrapped by Porsche GB as profittering is frowned upon

Recently a guy who had ordered a GTS advertised it for sale at a premium prior to him collecting it and the dealer cancelled the order and kept the deposit as he was in breach of the t&c's of the contract between him the depositor and Porsche.

Wait times have softened considerably in the UK with some GTSs being on a 3-4 month lead.

That's crazy.. but yes, confirm I have heard the same - waiting times all around 3-4 months. Just 2.0T one seems the weird one
