Default 2015 Macan S Mods

Well here it goes. Recently I purchased (for the wife, wink, wink) a new to me 2015 Agate Gray Macan S. I have always been a gear head and love to modify my vehicles so I thought I would share my experience modifying my first Macan. I started with blacking out the window trim. I used 3M vinyl 2" Wrap for the straight sections and cut it down to size. The rear section (small rear side windows) was done with a larger piece of 3M wrap (2'X2') because of the sharp bend. Once that was done I decided that, like other owners, the Macan sat too high for my liking! So after many nights of researching and debating on how low I wanted to go (steel Springs, Non PASM) I decided to go with the Eibach setup. Having a mechanical background and a good friend that owns a shop, I decided to tackled this install myself. I started with the front since I knew it would be the most difficult and time consuming. I took my time and it went as well as any other strut/spring replacement I have ever done. The rear install went much quicker due to the shock/coil spring setup. After everything was back together it was time for an alignment. Since only the rear is adjustable as far as Camber goes, I almost skipped this step but thought it would be a good idea. Put it on the rack and, to my surprise the rear was still in spec. The front Camber was out (nothing I can do about that) but so was the Toe. So I adjusted the front Toe and went on about my business. Once I left the shop, I immediately noticed a firmer but more compliant ride. The vehicle handles great with much better feedback. I just installed these today so I can't give an in depth review, but from what I have experienced so far, it has been nothing but positive. Lastly (for now), I installed a set of 20" Vorstiener VFF-107 wheels in Carbon Graphite. They are a great improvement over the stock 19" wheels (in my opinion). I have pictures of everything but the wheels, but tomorrow is a new day lol!

Very nice! Lowered stance looks really good. Now get those front windows tinted.

The ride is a little stiffer but in a good way. It feels more planted and responsive now that the body roll has been drastically reduced. I can also tell a difference with the wider wheels and tires, quite a bit more grip than the 19" all seasons. All-in-all I am very happy with it and I love the way it looks. And now with the money I have saved from doing all the work myself I plan on going with a Cobb Tune soon!
