Hmm, sounds worthy of a crawl under to check that some day.

Did you have to remove the whole lower cover to get to the smaller one ?
Thx

Never saw this servicing procedure mentioned before on our forum?

Yeap neither did I. Read it on the cayenne forum when diagnosing that issue I had with the intercooler pipe popping off. Itís pretty common for an intercooler to have oil in them and oil in the intake tract - the valve cover breathers route back into the intake. So disconnecting the lower intercooler hose and draining anything is a good thing to do once in a while. The Cobb tune increases psi as well so if any intake boot or piping is loose itís going to pop it off. In my case it was the lower hose.

Do you think if off road mode was activated via the air suspension switch , there would be enough clearance to fold down the front cover for access ? Anyone know how long the car would stay in off road mode, whilst shut down ? I would think not long.......hehe

You need to disable the self leveling before getting underneath by pressing and holding the low button until the message appears and it will stay that high. But not recommend to crawl underneath unless jack stands or support is placed under. But if your just in the front you wouldnít really have to crawl under it, just your arms.

Default Reduced Engine Power Message

Thank you. Even though this is an old thread, I found it to be very valuable in resolving an issue I recently experienced. I was driving my '18 Turbo PP in a 'spirited fashion' last week, and then got the "reduced engine power" message. It seemed to be driving okay with no obvious reduction in power, but I pulled over, and shut the car off. Restarted and the message went away.

But I brought the car in to the dealership to look at - with this thread printed out. The SA confirmed the recorded fault and found that the throttle body boot was indeed loose. They completely removed it, inspected it for damage. None found, and reinstalled and tightened things down.

The car seems much more responsive though.
