Fingers crossed the May on-sale date pans out!
I'm not trying to be a smart-ass here. I'm just wondering how PCNA can tell anything, until the EPA, and then CARB, put these on some sort of schedule. Maybe that's been done and not posted here yet.

I'm thinking back two years, when I ordered my S. For a while back then, there were daily posts referencing EPA scheduling and related activity pages, keeping us informed of the progress.

Cheers,

Bill P.

My SA also shared the update to May. We expect early May vehicle arrives in US, then late May sale date

This would include EPA certification as all Canadian cars are subject to EPA approval as well. Seems Porsche got their approval much earlier than anticipated.

We asked this question before....

The EPA requirements are the same --- yes.

But which agency does the evaluation ?

I assume each country has its own mechanics for approval/compliance
The pharmaceutical industry is the same nad each country administers themselves.

It may be that one country gets approved before the other
I doubt they are simultaneous.

Yeah...... trying to get rid of an Outback and a 5 year old F-350 Lariat Super Duty Diesel that someone **thought** they’d pull a horse trailer with. It’s got 10,000 and sits in the garage at the farm in Hunterdon County.

If they go ....they go. If not I can trailer the new cars around and minimize mileage. 😊

I would assume it's all done in the US as the EPA is an American agency that Canada is merely in collaboration with. Once the car is EPA approved, that approval is valid for both countries.

My dealer called me this week and confirmed my 2019 S delivery to be May 29th. This is in the U.S. Northeast.

I'd like to see some evidence that EPA has certified 2019 Macans. There's nothing at the EPA website as of a couple weeks ago. And if you're in the northeastern US, you probably need CARB certification also, which usually takes another couple of months after EPA certification, if fortunate...
I'd be skeptical of anything from a dealer without online proof or without a single 2019 Macan at any US dealership...

Here is the link to the CARB page https://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/cert/cert.php#6. I skimmed over quickly and I didn’t see 2019 Macan on the March 15 executive order list. Maybe EPA is done only.
