Default No one has the itch for a 991.2 ?

I know there's a few who either already have one or are ordering one . However I have to say something about this car . It is the best daily driving 911 I have ever owned . There are many areas where a vehicle like the Macan makes sense but there are a few features with the 911 which I wish the Macan had. For starters in terms of driver seating and comfort the 911 is far superior . I have voiced many times how I detest the position of the AC vent in the Macan . I have accepted it but hate it . The Macan blows away the 911 in logical space and in bad weather like heavy rain I'll always grab the key to the Macan . However it can be done with a 911 and more important is that many folks do have two cars .

Granted .. when I came to the forum I did say I originated out of 911 ownership and even had a Boxster as my daily and i do love the Macan . I just feel that both together really rock !! And ... if i had to pick one .. I'd try to make the 911 be the one .

I know it may sound absurd to be so impractical . On a 911 forum it is normalcy however we have discussed even how non car people look confused by the Macan . But what about the darker side of Porsche driving hedonistic ownership ? The 991.2 !!!

No takers ?

I've more than an itch; I've a deep, burning YEARN.

However, I don't have your budget...

I drove an S version to its maximum around Silverstone PEC.

A truely great car with impecable handling and performance.

Getting into a Macan Turbo immediately afterwords and the Macan felt very heavy and sluggish.

Then there is the ultimate question of life the universe and everything 911 related, in other words....would I buy one?

The answer is No.

I stuggle to get in and getting out requires Paramedic assistance, being an old guy with a bad back does not help.

Oh, if only I was 20 years younger!

CPO cars are already showing up in the 70's (basic car with manual) and 80's (lower mile with a few options). It's not long before they hit modest Macan S price points.

Understandable . There are those who are 20 years younger reading who might put it off for the future too.

I bought my first 911 at 34 . This particular one has got to be the most comfortable . It's hard to imagine that I am enjoying a 911 that has this type of luxury .

I recall when the 991 first was launched . A lot of guys showed up inquiring about the car coming out of cars like Mercedes and Bentley . It was as if Porsche opened up a whole new segment of shopper.
It took awhile for me to mature along with the car .

That may well be true, but then I'd have to give up my modest Macan S.

Drive on, Brother! Perhaps some day you might oblige me with a ride in yours!

My 2009 997.2 C4S with 97K miles still going strong and sexy as ever!. I considered a Macan before a new Carrera simply because my teenage kids fit better in a Macan. However when they are in college in 4-6 years a new 911, next gen, will be in order.

We currently own a 16 991.1 white turbo vert. The 17 was just coming out when we purchased it. I like it but if it hadn't been for my wife I would probably opted for a more exotic car.. As of today, we are in the wait mode till mid Sept for our ordered PP macan to get here. I would suspect we will keep the macan longer than the 911, and I will get my toy eventually. Had to please the wife first and later down the road I can get the car that I want.
