Default Came here from an FX35

Traded in our 12 FX for a new Macan (base) and picked it up on the 30th. While the FX was a great vehicle, very quick, and tossable, it was time to move on. Was seriously looking at SQ5, and was convinced to try a Macan, definitely impressed. We got a Volcano Grey (who comes up with these names?) with 19" wheel option, keyless entry, and several other well thought out additions. So far have a grand total of 288 miles and remain impressed with the handling. For a little 4 cyl, it has more than enough power for us and I've noted that its easy to exceed the speed limit if your not paying attention. We're not new to Porsche, as I had a 914 for several years when I was a lot younger, which came with the dubious pleasure of (constantly) working on it. I've outgrown that particular desire. Have been quietly monitoring the forum, and learning.
Cheers,
Orzel

Slightly further North, about 25 minutes, but still in US!

Yes, Roger Jobs, and worked with Mitch, who we've known for years. Bought several Toyota's from him when he was with Wilson.

Welcome! I too just picked up my Base Macan last week and have about the same mileage on it now and am impressed with it as well. I'm just north of border from you. Have you been getting as much snow down there as we have been up here? Now that I have the Macan, I'm almost (OK, I'm actually) looking forward to the snow because my old car (Infiniti G35 coupe) was as useful as a hippo in snow.

We're actually in Blaine and yes, what you all get, we get. We're in direct flow out of the Frazer. Been very cold! I've had a chance to drive the Macan in a little snow, and it handled it with ease. However, that being said, not exactly entused about more of that white stuff.

Welcome aboard to the forum from Southern Washington.
Were getting the wind blast from the Columbia River gorge which I'm sure is not a cold as the Frazer. Hope you enjoy your new car, many happy miles to you.

Welcome

I had to Google FX to find out what you had prior, as we do not get that model in the UK.

Quite a leap for you from the FX to a Porsche.

Enjoy your Macan.
